Key Decisions on Telangana Airports
ఆదిలాబాద్, మామూనూరు విమానాశ్రయాల పనులు వేగవంతం చేయాలని తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి కేంద్ర పౌర విమానయాన శాఖ మంత్రి రామ్మోహన్ నాయుడును కోరారు. ఢిల్లీలో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో విమానాశ్రయాల అభివృద్ధి, హెలీ టూరిజం, సీ-ప్లేన్ సేవలపై చర్చించారు.
తెలంగాణలో ఆదిలాబాద్, మామూనూరు (వరంగల్) విమానాశ్రయాల నిర్మాణ పనులను వేగవంతం చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి కేంద్ర పౌర విమానయాన శాఖ మంత్రి రామ్మోహన్ నాయుడును కోరారు. ఢిల్లీలోని రాజీవ్ గాంధీ భవన్లోని పౌర విమానయాన శాఖ కార్యాలయంలో కేంద్ర మంత్రితో ముఖ్యమంత్రి సమావేశమయ్యారు.
మామూనూరు విమానాశ్రయానికి అవసరమైన భూసేకరణను రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తి చేసి అప్పగించిందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి తెలిపారు. విమానాశ్రయ పనులను వేగంగా ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లాలని కోరారు. దీనిపై స్పందించిన కేంద్ర మంత్రి, మామూనూరు విమానాశ్రయానికి సంబంధించిన టెండర్లను రెండు వారాల్లో పిలిచి, డిసెంబర్ నాటికి ఖరారు చేసి అదే నెలలో పనులకు శంకుస్థాపన చేస్తామని తెలిపారు.
ఆదిలాబాద్ విమానాశ్రయంలో కార్గో, ప్రయాణికుల టెర్మినల్తో పాటు మెయింటెనెన్స్, రిపేర్స్ అండ్ ఓవర్హాలింగ్ (MRO) సౌకర్యాలను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని రేవంత్ రెడ్డి కోరారు. రన్వేను తుది నిర్ణయం తీసుకునే అంశంపై రక్షణ, పౌర విమానయాన శాఖల సంయుక్త సమావేశాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని కేంద్ర మంత్రిని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
తెలంగాణలో హెలీ టూరిజం అభివృద్ధికి చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని కూడా ముఖ్యమంత్రి కోరారు. చాపర్ల సేవలను పర్యాటక రంగంతో అనుసంధానించడం ద్వారా రాష్ట్రంలో పర్యాటకానికి మరింత ఊతం లభించే అవకాశం ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు. హుస్సేన్ సాగర్లో సీ-ప్లేన్ ల్యాండింగ్కు సంబంధించిన నివేదికను రెండు వారాల్లో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి అందజేస్తామని పౌర విమానయాన శాఖ అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
సమావేశంలో ఎంపీలు, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారు (ప్రోటోకాల్) హర్కర రామారావు, తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి సంజయ్ జాజు, సీఎం సెక్రటరీ మాణిక్ రాజ్తో పాటు ఇతర అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu to expedite the development of the Adilabad and Mamnoor (Warangal) airports. The meeting in New Delhi also discussed air connectivity, helicopter tourism and seaplane operations in Telangana.
Reddy said the state government had completed and handed over the required land acquisition for the Mamnoor Airport. Responding to the request, the Union Minister said tenders for the Warangal airport would be invited within two weeks, finalised by December and the foundation stone for the works would be laid in the same month.
The Chief Minister also sought the establishment of cargo and passenger terminals and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities at Adilabad Airport. He requested a joint meeting of the Defence and Civil Aviation ministries to finalise the runway-related issues at Adilabad.
Reddy further urged the Centre to support the development of helicopter tourism in Telangana, stating that heli-tourism could provide further opportunities for the state’s tourism sector. Civil Aviation officials informed him that a report on the proposed seaplane landing facility at Hussain Sagar would be submitted to the state government within two weeks.
MPs, Telangana government officials and other senior officials attended the meeting.
