ఇంటింటికీ 6 మొక్కలు నాటి పర్యావరణాన్ని పరిరక్షించాలి: కంఠం శిరీష కృష్ణారెడ్డి
శామీర్పేట, ఆగస్టు 31: పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణతో పాటు అలియాబాద్ మున్సిపాలిటీ పరిధిలో పచ్చదనాన్ని పెంపొందించడమే లక్ష్యంగా ముందుకు సాగుతున్నామని మున్సిపల్ చైర్పర్సన్ కంఠం శిరీష కృష్ణారెడ్డి తెలిపారు.
అలియాబాద్ మున్సిపాలిటీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో వన మహోత్సవం–2026 కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా మజీద్పూర్లోని 10, 11వ వార్డులు, యాడారంలోని 12వ వార్డు, మురహరిపల్లిలోని 13వ వార్డుల్లో ఇంటింటికీ ఆరు మొక్కల చొప్పున పంపిణీ చేశారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా చైర్పర్సన్ మాట్లాడుతూ మొక్కలు నాటడంతో పాటు వాటిని నిరంతరం సంరక్షించడం ప్రతి ఒక్కరి బాధ్యత అని అన్నారు. ఇళ్ల పరిసరాల్లో, అందుబాటులో ఉన్న ఖాళీ ప్రదేశాల్లో మొక్కలు నాటి, వాటికి క్రమం తప్పకుండా నీరు అందిస్తూ సంరక్షించాలని ప్రజలకు సూచించారు.
మొక్కల పెంపకం ద్వారా మున్సిపాలిటీ పరిధిలో పచ్చదనం పెంపొందించడంతో పాటు పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణకు ప్రజల భాగస్వామ్యం అవసరమని ఆమె పేర్కొన్నారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో అలియాబాద్ మున్సిపల్ వైస్ చైర్పర్సన్ కన్రెడ్డి మాలతి మాధవరెడ్డి, మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ ఎన్. వెంకట్రెడ్డి, కౌన్సిలర్లు కైరా గణేష్, సామల జశ్వంత్రెడ్డి, తాళ్ల స్వప్న రాంప్రసాద్, మున్సిపల్ ఏఈఈ సనా షాహీన్, మున్సిపల్ సిబ్బంది, స్థానిక ప్రజలు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Plant Six Saplings in Every Household to Protect the Environment: Chairperson
Alayabad Municipal Chairperson Kantham Sirisha Krishna Reddy said the municipality was working towards protecting the environment and increasing green cover across its limits.
As part of Van Mahotsav–2026, Alayabad Municipality conducted a plantation programme and distributed six saplings to each household in Ward Nos. 10 and 11 of Majeedpur, Ward No. 12 of Yadaram and Ward No. 13 of Muraharipally.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson said planting saplings was only the first step and that every individual had a responsibility to ensure their continued care. Residents were encouraged to plant saplings around their homes and in available vacant spaces and water and maintain them regularly.
She emphasised the importance of public participation in increasing green cover and protecting the environment across the municipality.
Municipal Vice-Chairperson Kanreddy Malathi Madhav Reddy, Municipal Commissioner N. Venkat Reddy, councillors Kaira Ganesh, Samala Jashwanth Reddy and Thalla Swapna Ramprasad, Municipal AEE Sana Shaheen, municipal staff and local residents participated in the programme.
