బ్యాంకింగ్ రంగంలో సైబర్ భద్రతను బలోపేతం చేయడం, డిజిటల్ ఆర్థిక మోసాలను అరికట్టే వినూత్న పరిష్కారాలను ప్రోత్సహించడం లక్ష్యంగా నిర్వహించిన ఫిన్నోవేషన్ – పీఎస్బీ హ్యాకథాన్ సిరీస్ 2026 విజయవంతంగా ముగిసింది. ఐఐటీ జోధ్పూర్ సహకారంతో జరిగిన ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 36 సంస్థలకు చెందిన 210 బృందాలు పాల్గొన్నాయి.
ఆర్థిక సేవల విభాగం (DFS) ఆలోచనతో, ఇండియన్ బ్యాంక్స్ అసోసియేషన్ (IBA) సమన్వయంతో ఈ హ్యాకథాన్ నిర్వహించారు. ఎస్ఎంఎస్, వాట్సాప్ల ద్వారా పంపిణీ అవుతున్న నకిలీ మొబైల్ యాప్ల కారణంగా జరుగుతున్న ఫిషింగ్, ఆర్థిక మోసాలను ఎదుర్కొనే పరిష్కారాలపై పాల్గొన్న బృందాలు దృష్టి సారించాయి.
హ్యాకథాన్లో విజేతలుగా నిలిచిన బృందాలను గురుగ్రామ్లో నిర్వహించిన ప్రత్యేక కార్యక్రమంలో ప్రకటించి, ఘనంగా సన్మానించారు. డిజిటల్ ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థలో భద్రతను పెంచేందుకు వినూత్న సాంకేతిక పరిష్కారాలను అభివృద్ధి చేసినందుకు విజేతలను అభినందించారు.
కార్యక్రమానికి డీఎఫ్ఎస్ అదనపు కార్యదర్శి దేబాశిష్ ప్రుస్తీ, ఎస్బీఐ ఎండీ (ఆర్బీ అండ్ ఓ) రామ మోహన్ రావు అమర, ఐబీఏ చీఫ్ ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ అతుల్ కుమార్ గోయల్, ఐఐటీ జోధ్పూర్ డీన్ ఆఫ్ స్టూడెంట్ అఫైర్స్ డాక్టర్ అంకిత శర్మతో పాటు పలువురు సీనియర్ అధికారులు, ప్రముఖులు హాజరయ్యారు.
డిజిటల్ లావాదేవీలు పెరుగుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో సైబర్ భద్రత, ఫిషింగ్ నియంత్రణ, ఆర్థిక మోసాల నివారణకు సాంకేతిక ఆవిష్కరణలు కీలకంగా మారుతున్నాయి. ఇలాంటి కార్యక్రమాలు స్టార్టప్లు, విద్యార్థులు, సాంకేతిక నిపుణులను ఆర్థిక భద్రతకు సంబంధించిన సమస్యలపై వినూత్న పరిష్కారాలు అభివృద్ధి చేసేలా ప్రోత్సహిస్తాయని నిర్వాహకులు తెలిపారు.

FINNOVATION – PSB Hackathon Series 2026, organised in collaboration with IIT Jodhpur, has successfully concluded with the felicitation of the winning teams in Gurugram. The initiative brought together 210 teams from 36 institutions across India to develop innovative solutions for combating digital financial fraud and strengthening cybersecurity.
The hackathon was envisaged by the Department of Financial Services (DFS) and coordinated by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA). The central challenge focused on tackling fake mobile applications distributed through SMS and WhatsApp, which can be used for phishing and financial fraud.
The winners of the FINNOVATION – PSB Hackathon Series 2026 were announced and felicitated at a ceremony in Gurugram. The event recognised innovative solutions aimed at strengthening cybersecurity and creating a safer digital financial ecosystem.
The ceremony was attended by Debasish Prusty, Additional Secretary, DFS; Rama Mohan Rao Amara, MD (RB&O), SBI; Atul Kumar Goyal, Chief Executive, IBA; Dr Ankita Sharma, Dean of Student Affairs, IIT Jodhpur; and other senior dignitaries.
With the rapid expansion of digital financial services, the threat of phishing, fake applications and online financial fraud has also increased. Initiatives such as FINNOVATION provide students, technology professionals and institutions with an opportunity to develop practical solutions to emerging cybersecurity challenges.
The successful conclusion of the hackathon highlights the importance of collaboration between government institutions, banks and academic institutions in promoting innovation and building a safer digital financial ecosystem.
