ఖమ్మం జిల్లా పాలేరు నియోజకవర్గ పర్యటనలో భాగంగా నేలకొండపల్లి మండలంలోని చెరువుమాదారాన్ని మోడల్ సోలార్ విలేజ్గా అభివృద్ధి చేయడానికి పైలట్ ప్రాజెక్టుగా ఎంపిక చేసినట్లు ప్రకటించారు. పునరుత్పాదక ఇంధన అవగాహన సదస్సులో ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు వివరాలను వెల్లడించారు.
చెరువుమాదారంలో సుమారు రూ.100 కోట్ల అంచనా వ్యయంతో సమగ్ర సోలార్ ప్లాంట్ ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ప్రతి ఇంటికి సుమారు రూ.1.40 లక్షల వ్యయంతో సోలార్ వ్యవస్థను అమర్చినట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఇళ్లకు అవసరమైన ఉచిత విద్యుత్ వినియోగం అనంతరం మిగిలిన విద్యుత్ను ప్రభుత్వం కొనుగోలు చేసి, అందుకు సంబంధించిన మొత్తాన్ని నేరుగా వినియోగదారుల బ్యాంకు ఖాతాల్లో జమ చేస్తుందని వివరించారు.
భవిష్యత్తులో గృహజ్యోతి పథకం లబ్ధిదారులతో పాటు వ్యవసాయ మోటార్లకు కూడా సోలార్ ప్లాంట్లను అందించే కార్యక్రమాన్ని చేపట్టనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
వ్యవసాయానికి ఉచిత విద్యుత్ అందించే ఆలోచన కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వాల నుంచే వచ్చిందని పేర్కొంటూ, ఆ ఆలోచనను అమలు చేసి వ్యవసాయానికి ఉచిత విద్యుత్ అందించిన ఘనత కాంగ్రెస్కే దక్కుతుందని తెలిపారు.
పాలేరు నియోజకవర్గ పర్యటనలో భాగంగా బుద్ధారంలో రూ.1.97 కోట్ల అంచనా వ్యయంతో బీటీ రోడ్డు పనులకు, కొంగరలో రూ.1.05 కోట్లతో బీటీ రోడ్డు పనులకు శంకుస్థాపన చేశారు.
అనంతరం నేలకొండపల్లి, బోదులబండ, చెన్నారం, ఆచార్యులగూడెం గ్రామాల్లో పర్యటించి పలువురు బాధిత కుటుంబాలను పరామర్శించారు. అలాగే ఆయా ప్రాంతాల్లో నిర్వహించిన పలు శుభ కార్యక్రమాల్లో పాల్గొన్నారు.

Cheruvumadaram in Nelakondapalli mandal of Khammam district has been selected as a pilot project to develop a model solar village, according to the statement issued during the P aleru constituency tour.
A renewable energy awareness programme was held at Cheruvumadaram as part of the visit. The proposed project is estimated to involve an investment of around ₹100 crore for an integrated solar power plant.
The statement said solar systems costing approximately ₹1.40 lakh would be installed for each household. After meeting the eligible free electricity consumption, the government would purchase the surplus power and deposit the corresponding amount directly into the beneficiaries’ accounts.
The initiative is also proposed to be extended in the future to Gruha Jyothi beneficiaries as well as agricultural motors, according to the statement.
The speaker also highlighted the Congress government’s role in the concept and implementation of free electricity for agriculture, stating that the initiative was introduced to support the farming community.
During the Paleru constituency tour, foundation stones were also laid for BT road works in Buddharam at an estimated cost of ₹1.97 crore and in Kongara at a cost of ₹1.05 crore.
The visit also included stops at Nelakondapalli, Bodulabanda, Chennaram and Acharyulagudem, where several affected families were met and consoled. The tour also included participation in various auspicious programmes.
