CEC Gyanesh Kumar Meets Suriname Ambassador
న్యూఢిల్లీ: భారత ప్రధాన ఎన్నికల కమిషనర్, ఇంటర్నేషనల్ IDEA కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ మెంబర్ స్టేట్స్ చైర్మన్ జ్ఞానేశ్ కుమార్, భారత్లోని సురినామ్ రాయబారి హనిషా జైరామ్తో సమావేశమయ్యారు. ఎన్నికల నిర్వహణ, ఎన్నికల సిబ్బంది శిక్షణలో సహకారాన్ని మరింత బలోపేతం చేసేందుకు ఇరుపక్షాలు అంగీకరించాయి.
న్యూఢిల్లీలోని నిర్వచన్ సదన్లో జరిగిన ఈ సమావేశంలో ప్రజాస్వామ్య సహకారాన్ని బలోపేతం చేయడంపై ఇరువురు చర్చించారు. IICDEM 2026లో నిర్దేశించిన దార్శనికతకు అనుగుణంగా ప్రజాస్వామ్య వ్యవస్థలను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలనే ఉమ్మడి నిబద్ధతను పునరుద్ఘాటించారు.
ఎన్నికల నిర్వహణలో పరస్పర సహకారాన్ని పెంచుకోవడంతో పాటు ఎన్నికల సిబ్బందికి శిక్షణ, సామర్థ్య నిర్మాణం వంటి అంశాల్లో కలిసి పనిచేయాలని నిర్ణయించారు. ఈ సహకారం ద్వారా ఎన్నికల నిర్వహణకు సంబంధించిన అనుభవాలు, ఉత్తమ విధానాల పరస్పర మార్పిడికి మరింత అవకాశం కల్పించనున్నారు.
New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, Gyanesh Kumar, met Suriname’s Ambassador to India, Hanisha Jairam, at Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in election management and the training of election staff.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening democratic cooperation in line with the vision outlined at IICDEM 2026.
They also agreed to work closely to deepen collaboration in election management, capacity building and training of election personnel. The cooperation is expected to facilitate greater exchange of experiences and best practices in election administration between the two sides.
