హైదరాబాద్, తెలంగాణ: బ్యాంకు ఖాతాలను బ్లాక్ చేస్తామని పేర్కొంటూ ఆధార్ వివరాలను వెంటనే అప్డేట్ చేయాలని కోరే నకిలీ SMSలు, వాట్సాప్ సందేశాలపై తెలంగాణ పోలీసులు ప్రజలను అప్రమత్తం చేశారు. ఇటువంటి సందేశాల్లో ఉన్న అనుమానాస్పద లింకులను క్లిక్ చేయకూడదని, APK ఫైళ్లను డౌన్లోడ్ చేయవద్దని స్పష్టంగా సూచించారు.
పోలీసుల ప్రకారం, మోసగాళ్లు బ్యాంకు పేర్లతో నకిలీ సందేశాలు పంపిస్తూ ఆధార్ అప్డేట్ చేయకపోతే బ్యాంకు ఖాతా నిలిపివేస్తామని భయపెడుతున్నారు. ఆ సందేశాల్లోని లింకుల ద్వారా వ్యక్తిగత వివరాలు, బ్యాంకింగ్ సమాచారం సేకరించి ఆర్థిక మోసాలకు పాల్పడే అవకాశం ఉందని హెచ్చరించారు.
ఆధార్కు సంబంధించిన బ్యాంకు సేవలను వినియోగించాల్సి వస్తే సంబంధిత బ్యాంకు అధికారిక వెబ్సైట్ లేదా సమీప బ్యాంకు శాఖను మాత్రమే ఉపయోగించాలని పోలీసులు సూచించారు. మొబైల్లో తెలియని యాప్లు లేదా APK ఫైళ్లు ఇన్స్టాల్ చేయడం ద్వారా సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లకు ఫోన్పై నియంత్రణ లభించే ప్రమాదం ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఇలాంటి మోసాలకు గురైన వారు లేదా అనుమానాస్పద సందేశాలు అందుకున్న వారు వెంటనే జాతీయ సైబర్ క్రైమ్ హెల్ప్లైన్ 1930కు ఫోన్ చేయాలని, అలాగే Cyber Crime Reporting Portal ద్వారా ఫిర్యాదు నమోదు చేయాలని అధికారులు కోరారు.
సైబర్ మోసాలను అరికట్టేందుకు ప్రజల్లో అవగాహన పెంచడం అత్యంత కీలకమని తెలంగాణ పోలీసులు మరోసారి గుర్తు చేశారు.

Hyderabad, Telangana: Telangana Police have issued a public advisory warning citizens against fraudulent SMS and WhatsApp messages claiming that bank accounts will be blocked unless Aadhaar details are updated. The police urged people not to click suspicious links or download APK files sent through such messages.
According to the advisory, cyber fraudsters are impersonating banks and sending fake alerts that pressure customers into updating Aadhaar details immediately. These fraudulent links are designed to steal personal and banking information, potentially leading to financial fraud.
Police advised citizens to use only their bank’s official website or visit authorized bank branches for any Aadhaar-related updates. They also warned that installing unknown APK files could allow cybercriminals to gain unauthorized access to mobile devices and sensitive information.
Victims of cyber fraud or anyone receiving suspicious messages have been asked to immediately contact the National Cyber Crime Helpline 1930 and file complaints through the Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
The advisory is part of Telangana Police’s ongoing efforts to raise public awareness and prevent cyber fraud by encouraging safe digital practices.
