తెలంగాణ ఫోరెన్సిక్ సైన్స్ ల్యాబొరేటరీలో 57 మంది కొత్త సిబ్బందికి నియామక ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేశారు. శాస్త్రీయ ఆధారాలే నేర విచారణ విజయానికి కీలకమని అధికారులు పేర్కొన్నారు.
నేరాల దర్యాప్తు ఎంత సమగ్రంగా జరిగినా, బలమైన శాస్త్రీయ ఆధారాలు, నాణ్యమైన ఫోరెన్సిక్ నివేదికలు లేకపోతే కోర్టులో కేసు బలహీనపడే అవకాశం ఉందని తెలంగాణ పోలీసు ఉన్నతాధికారులు తెలిపారు. కొత్త క్రిమినల్ చట్టాల ప్రకారం శాస్త్రీయ, సాంకేతిక ఆధారిత దర్యాప్తుకు అధిక ప్రాధాన్యం పెరిగిన నేపథ్యంలో, తెలంగాణ ఫోరెన్సిక్ సైన్స్ ల్యాబొరేటరీ (ఎఫ్ఎస్ఎల్) ప్రధాన కార్యాలయంలో 57 మంది కొత్తగా నియమితులైన సిబ్బందికి నియామక ఉత్తర్వులు అందజేశారు.
ఫోరెన్సిక్ నివేదికలు చార్జ్షీట్లకు కీలక ఆధారంగా నిలుస్తాయని, సాక్ష్యాలను సరైన విధంగా సేకరించడం, విశ్లేషించడం, కోర్టులో సమర్థంగా సమర్పించడం అత్యంత ముఖ్యమని కొత్త సిబ్బందికి సూచించారు. కోర్టు విధానాలు, సాక్ష్యాల నిర్వహణ, డాక్యుమెంటేషన్పై పూర్తి అవగాహన పెంపొందించుకోవడంతో పాటు శాస్త్రీయ ఖచ్చితత్వం, నిష్పాక్షికతను పాటించాలని సూచించారు.
మాదకద్రవ్యాలు, సైబర్ నేరాలు, ఆర్థిక మోసాల కేసులు వేగంగా పెరుగుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో ఫోరెన్సిక్ నైపుణ్యాల అవసరం మరింత పెరిగిందని అధికారులు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇప్పటి వరకు కేవలం 38 మంది సిబ్బందితోనే ఎఫ్ఎస్ఎల్ పనిచేయడం వల్ల నివేదికల సమర్పణలో ఆలస్యాలు ఎదురయ్యాయని తెలిపారు.
కొత్తగా నియమితులైన 57 మందిలో 36 మంది పీహెచ్డీ, 15 మంది ఎం.టెక్ అర్హతలు కలిగి ఉండటం ల్యాబ్ శాస్త్రీయ సామర్థ్యాన్ని గణనీయంగా పెంచుతుందని, పెండింగ్ కేసుల పరిష్కారానికి దోహదపడుతుందని వెల్లడించారు.
కొత్త అధికారులకు ఆధునిక పరికరాలు, మెరుగైన మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు కల్పించేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తి సహకారం అందిస్తుందని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. అంకితభావంతో, శాస్త్రీయ దృక్పథంతో పనిచేసి నేర న్యాయ వ్యవస్థను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
ఎఫ్ఎస్ఎల్ డైరెక్టర్ శిఖా గోయల్ మాట్లాడుతూ, కొత్త సిబ్బందికి ఐదు నెలల శిక్షణ కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఎఫ్ఎస్ఎల్ సుమారు 80 శాతం కేసుల పరిష్కార రేటును కొనసాగిస్తోందని, పోక్సో కేసులకు సంబంధించిన ఫోరెన్సిక్ నివేదికలను రెండు నెలల్లో జారీ చేస్తున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.

Lead: Appointment orders were issued to 57 newly recruited personnel of the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), reinforcing the state’s focus on scientific evidence in criminal investigations.
Officials stated that even the most meticulous criminal investigation can fail in court without strong scientific evidence and high-quality forensic reports. In view of the new criminal laws, which place greater emphasis on science and technology-driven investigation, appointment orders were distributed to 57 newly recruited personnel at the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) headquarters.
The recruits were informed that forensic reports form the backbone of charge sheets and play a decisive role during trials. They were advised to develop a strong understanding of court procedures, evidence handling, documentation, and to uphold the highest standards of scientific accuracy and integrity.
With narcotics, cybercrime, and financial fraud cases increasing rapidly, officials noted that forensic expertise has become more important than ever. Until now, the Telangana FSL had been functioning with only 38 personnel, resulting in delays in submitting forensic reports.
Among the 57 newly recruited personnel, 36 hold Ph.D. degrees and 15 possess M.Tech qualifications. Officials expressed confidence that their academic expertise will significantly enhance the laboratory’s scientific capacity and help reduce the backlog of pending cases.
The government assured continued support in providing modern equipment and upgraded infrastructure to the laboratory. The recruits were encouraged to work with dedication and scientific temperament to further strengthen the criminal justice system.
FSL Director Shikha Goel said the newly recruited personnel will undergo a five-month training programme. She added that the laboratory currently maintains a case disposal rate of around 80%, while forensic reports in POCSO cases are being issued within two months.
