హైదరాబాద్: తెలంగాణలో రహదారి భద్రతను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయడంతో పాటు విద్యాసంస్థల్లో మాదకద్రవ్యాల నియంత్రణను కట్టుదిట్టం చేసేందుకు రూపొందిస్తున్న టీఎమ్ఏఆర్ఎస్ (TMARS – Traffic Management and Road Safety Bureau), టాడాస్క్ (TADASC – Telangana Anti Drug & Safety Committees) ఏర్పాట్లపై డీజీపీ కీలక సమీక్ష నిర్వహించారు. గత రెండు నెలలుగా ఈ రెండు వ్యవస్థల రూపకల్పనపై పని కొనసాగుతుండగా, అవి తుది దశకు చేరుకున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
టీఎమ్ఏఆర్ఎస్ ద్వారా రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణ విధానాలను ఏకరీతిలో అమలు చేయడం, రహదారి భద్రతను మెరుగుపరచడం లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్నారు. జాతీయ రహదారులపై హైవే పెట్రోలింగ్, ట్రాఫిక్ సిగ్నళ్ల నిర్వహణ, కొత్త సిగ్నళ్ల ఏర్పాటు, రహదారి సూచిక బోర్డులు, ట్రాఫిక్ మౌలిక సదుపాయాల అభివృద్ధి వంటి బాధ్యతలను ఈ విభాగం నిర్వహించనుంది.
టాడాస్క్ కమిటీలను రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని విద్యాసంస్థల్లో ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నారు. మాదకద్రవ్యాల వినియోగం లేదా అనుమానాస్పద కార్యకలాపాలపై విద్యాసంస్థలు చట్ట అమలు సంస్థలకు సమాచారం అందించే బాధ్యత వహించాల్సి ఉంటుంది. విద్యార్థుల నుంచి మాదకద్రవ్యాలకు దూరంగా ఉంటామని అఫిడవిట్లు తీసుకోనున్నారు. ఈ నిబంధనలను అమలు చేయని విద్యాసంస్థలు బాధ్యత వహించాల్సి ఉంటుంది.
ప్రతి విద్యాసంస్థలో క్యాంపస్ సేఫ్టీ కోఆర్డినేటర్లను నియమించి, ర్యాగింగ్, విద్యార్థినుల గౌరవానికి భంగం కలిగించే ఘటనలు, ట్రాఫిక్ అవగాహన వంటి అంశాలపై కూడా ప్రత్యేకంగా దృష్టి సారించనున్నారు. భావితరాన్ని మాదకద్రవ్యాల ముప్పు నుంచి కాపాడకపోతే ఈ పోరాటంలో విజయం సాధించడం కష్టమని డీజీపీ స్పష్టం చేశారు.

Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) reviewed the progress of two major initiatives—TMARS (Traffic Management and Road Safety Bureau) and TADASC (Telangana Anti Drug & Safety Committees)—aimed at improving road safety and strengthening anti-drug measures across the state. The DGP said the work on both initiatives has been underway for the past two months and is nearing completion.
TMARS is proposed to standardize traffic management practices across Telangana while enhancing road safety through highway patrolling, maintenance of traffic signals, installation of new signals, road signage, and other traffic infrastructure improvements.
Under the TADASC initiative, Anti-Drug and Safety Committees will be established in all educational institutions. Schools and colleges will be responsible for identifying and reporting suspicious drug-related activities to law enforcement agencies. Students will be required to submit affidavits regarding drug use, while institutions may be held accountable for failing to implement the prescribed measures.
Educational institutions will also appoint Campus Safety Coordinators to work with students and police authorities. The committees will monitor issues such as ragging, offences against the dignity of girl students, and traffic awareness. The DGP emphasized that protecting the younger generation from the threat of drugs is essential to winning the fight against narcotics.
