Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Seychelles on an official visit aimed at strengthening India’s longstanding partnership with the island nation in the Indian Ocean. He was welcomed at the airport by Dr. Patrick Herminie.
Describing Seychelles as a valued maritime partner and a close friend, the Prime Minister said he looks forward to productive discussions that will further enhance bilateral cooperation and deepen ties for the benefit of the people of both countries.
A cultural performance featuring a traditional dance from Kutch formed part of the airport reception. Prime Minister Modi appreciated the Indian diaspora for preserving and celebrating India’s diverse cultural heritage overseas.
The visit is expected to focus on maritime security, regional cooperation, development partnerships, and strengthening the strategic relationship between India and Seychelles.
