ఈ సందర్భంగా ఏఐఎంఎస్ బఠిండాలో అత్యాధునిక PET-CT స్కానింగ్ కేంద్రం మరియు రెండో HELA సౌకర్యాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ కొత్త సదుపాయాలు క్యాన్సర్ నిర్ధారణ, చికిత్స సేవలను మరింత మెరుగుపరచడంలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తాయని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed the second convocation ceremony of AIIMS Bathinda and highlighted the transformation of India’s healthcare sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at the event, Nadda said India’s healthcare approach has evolved from a predominantly curative model to a comprehensive healthcare framework focused on prevention, wellness, accessibility, and quality care. He emphasized that a healthy population is essential for achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The Union Minister stated that the government has undertaken major reforms to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, expand medical education, and improve access to quality healthcare services across the country.

Addressing graduating students and healthcare professionals, Nadda urged them to embrace Artificial Intelligence and emerging medical technologies while ensuring that compassion, empathy, and a human touch remain at the center of patient care. He noted that technological advancements should complement, not replace, the human aspect of medicine.

During the visit, the Minister inaugurated a state-of-the-art PET-CT facility and a second HELA facility at AIIMS Bathinda. The new facilities are expected to significantly enhance cancer diagnosis and treatment capabilities, benefiting patients from Punjab and neighboring regions.

Nadda reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening India’s healthcare ecosystem through innovation, infrastructure development, and patient-centric healthcare delivery.
