జవహర్నగర్ ప్రాంతంలో ఇటీవల జరిగిన దోపిడీ ఘటన నేపథ్యంలో పోలీసులు ప్రత్యేక భద్రతా చర్యలు చేపట్టారు. నేపాల్కు చెందిన గృహ సహాయకులు గృహ యజమానిపై దోపిడీకి పాల్పడిన ఘటన ప్రజల్లో ఆందోళన కలిగించడంతో… మల్కాజ్ గిరి పోలీస్ కమీషనర్ ఆదేశాలనుసారం “మీ సురక్ష – Your Safety, Our Priority” పేరుతో ప్రత్యేక కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా గృహ సహాయకులు, అద్దెదారులు, సెక్యూరిటీ సిబ్బంది మరియు ఒంటరిగా నివసించే వృద్ధుల వివరాలను సేకరించి పోలీస్ వెరిఫికేషన్ నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. భవిష్యత్తులో ఇలాంటి నేరాలను అరికట్టడమే ఈ డ్రైవ్ ప్రధాన ఉద్దేశ్యమని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
మల్కాజ్ గిరి పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ ఆదేశాల మేరకు షామీర్పేట్ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ శ్రీనాథ్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో 20 ప్రత్యేక బృందాలను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ఈ బృందాలు ఇంటింటికి వెళ్లి గృహ సహాయకుల వివరాలు నమోదు చేయడంతో పాటు ప్రజలకు భద్రతపై అవగాహన కల్పిస్తున్నాయి. అనుమానాస్పద వ్యక్తుల వివరాలను వెంటనే పోలీసులకు తెలియజేయాలని సూచిస్తున్నారు.
ప్రజలు తమ ఇళ్లలో పనిచేసే గృహ సహాయకులు, అద్దెదారులు, సెక్యూరిటీ సిబ్బంది వివరాలను తప్పనిసరిగా నమోదు చేయించాలని పోలీసులు కోరారు. ఇందుకోసం గూగుల్ ఫారమ్, క్యూ ఆర్ కోడ్, అలాగే Hawk Eye యాప్లోని “Enroll With Police” ఆప్షన్ ద్వారా నమోదు సౌకర్యం కల్పించారు.
ప్రజల సహకారంతో పోలీస్ వెరిఫికేషన్ ప్రక్రియను మరింత సమర్థవంతంగా అమలు చేసి నేరాల నివారణకు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని శామీర్ పెట్ సిఐ శ్రీనాథ్ తెలిపారు.

Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate has launched a large-scale verification drive for domestic workers, tenants, and security personnel following a recent robbery incident in Jawaharnagar involving domestic workers reportedly from Nepal.
The police initiated a special public safety programme titled “Your Safety, Our Priority” after the incident created concern among residents in the commissionerate limits. Officials said the primary objective of the initiative is to prevent similar crimes in the future through proper verification and public awareness.
As part of the drive, police are collecting details of domestic workers, tenants, security guards, and elderly people living alone. Under the directions of the Police Commissioner, 20 special teams have been formed under the supervision of Shamirpet Inspector Srinath to conduct door-to-door verification and counselling programmes.
Police officials are advising citizens to remain alert and immediately report suspicious persons or activities. Residents have been urged to register the details of domestic workers, tenants, and security staff either through a Google Form, QR code registration system, or via the Hawk Eye app using the “Enroll With Police” feature.
The commissionerate stated that public cooperation and preventive verification measures can significantly help in reducing crime and improving community safety.
