గత ఎన్నికల్లో కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీకి టీజేఎస్ పార్టీ మద్దతు ప్రకటించిన తర్వాత కోదండరాంకు ఎమ్మెల్సీ పదవి లభించిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. సుదీర్ఘ నిరీక్షణ తర్వాత గవర్నర్ ఆమోదంతో ఇటీవల ఆయన ఎమ్మెల్సీగా ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేశారు.
గతంలో గవర్నర్ కోటాలో ఎమ్మెల్సీగా నియమించాలని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం సిఫార్సు చేసినా అది పెండింగ్లో పడింది. అనంతరం ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి స్వయంగా గవర్నర్ శివ ప్రతాప్ శుక్లాను కలిసి విజ్ఞప్తి చేయడంతో కోదండరాం, అజారుద్దీన్ల ఎమ్మెల్సీ నియామకాలకు ఆమోదం లభించింది.
తాజాగా టీజేఎస్ పార్టీ ఆవిర్భావ దినోత్సవ కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్న కోదండరాం మాట్లాడుతూ, తాము మంత్రులు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, ఎమ్మెల్సీలు కావాలనే ఆశతో రాజకీయాలు చేయడం లేదన్నారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రజల కోసం, ప్రజా సమస్యల పరిష్కారం కోసం మాత్రమే పోరాటం చేస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు.
రాష్ట్ర రాజకీయ వ్యూహాల్లో భాగంగానే కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీకి మద్దతు ఇచ్చామని, ప్రజల అవసరాల సమయంలో టీజేఎస్ ఎప్పుడూ ప్రజల పక్షాన నిలబడిందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
మే 12న జరగనున్న టీజేఎస్ పార్టీ ప్లీనరీలో కీలక నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంటామని కోదండరాం వెల్లడించారు. ఈ సమావేశం తర్వాత పార్టీ భవిష్యత్ వ్యూహంపై స్పష్టత వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉందని రాజకీయ వర్గాలు భావిస్తున్నాయి.
గత బీఆర్ఎస్ ప్రభుత్వ కాలంలో ఎన్నో నిర్బంధాలు, కేసులు ఎదుర్కొన్నామని కోదండరాం గుర్తు చేశారు. కేసీఆర్ నిరంకుశ పాలనకు వ్యతిరేకంగా టీజేఎస్ పోరాటం కొనసాగించిందని చెప్పారు.
బీఆర్ఎస్ కుటుంబ రాజకీయాలపై కూడా ఆయన విమర్శలు చేశారు. ప్రజలకు దూరంగా ఉన్న పార్టీ నిలబడదని, తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ స్పూర్తితోనే తాము ముందుకు సాగుతున్నామని స్పష్టం చేశారు.

MLC and Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president Kodandaram has made significant remarks regarding the possibility of getting a minister post, creating fresh political discussion in Telangana.
Kodandaram clarified that he never asked the Congress party for a minister position and that the Congress leadership also never promised him such a post. His comments have gained importance after his recent appointment as MLC.
It is known that TJS extended support to the Congress party during the previous elections. Following this political support, the Revanth Reddy government facilitated Kodandaram’s appointment as MLC after a long wait.
Earlier, the state government had recommended his nomination under the Governor’s quota, but the matter remained pending. Later, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy personally met Governor Jishnu Dev Varma’s predecessor and the approval process moved forward, leading to Kodandaram and Azharuddin taking oath as MLCs.
Speaking at the TJS party foundation day event, Kodandaram said their politics is not driven by ambitions for minister, MLA, or MLC positions. He stated that the party’s focus remains on people’s issues and public struggles.
He said TJS supported Congress as part of Telangana’s larger political strategy and insisted that the party always stands with people whenever needed.
Kodandaram also announced that important decisions would be taken during the TJS party plenary scheduled for May 12. Political observers believe this meeting may define the party’s future political direction.
He further recalled facing multiple restrictions and cases during the previous BRS government and said TJS consistently fought against what he described as authoritarian rule under KCR.
He also criticized family politics in BRS and said parties disconnected from the people cannot survive in the long run.
