తెలంగాణలో ఎండల తీవ్రత రోజురోజుకూ పెరుగుతోంది. ప్రపంచంలోని అత్యధిక ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు నమోదవుతున్న టాప్ 100 హాటెస్ట్ ప్రాంతాల జాబితాలో తెలంగాణ నుంచి మరో మూడు పట్టణాలు చోటు సంపాదించాయి.
ఇప్పటికే ఆదిలాబాద్ ఈ జాబితాలో ఉండగా, తాజాగా రామగుండం, మంచిర్యాల, కొత్తపేట కూడా ప్రపంచ హాట్స్పాట్ల జాబితాలో చేరాయి. ప్రాణ ఎయిర్ ఏక్యూఐ పోర్టల్ వెల్లడించిన తాజా గణాంకాల ప్రకారం రామగుండం 59వ స్థానంలో నిలిచింది.
మంచిర్యాల 64వ స్థానంలో, కొత్తపేట 76వ స్థానంలో, ఆదిలాబాద్ 91వ స్థానంలో ఉన్నాయి. ఈ నాలుగు ప్రాంతాల్లో గరిష్ట ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు 43 డిగ్రీల సెల్సియస్ నుంచి 44.4 డిగ్రీల సెల్సియస్ మధ్య నమోదయ్యాయి.
ప్రత్యేకంగా ఉత్తర తెలంగాణ జిల్లాల్లో ఎండల తీవ్రత మరింత ఎక్కువగా కనిపిస్తోంది. రామగుండం, మంచిర్యాల వంటి పారిశ్రామిక ప్రాంతాల్లో వేడి ప్రభావం మరింతగా నమోదవుతోంది. బొగ్గు గనులు, పారిశ్రామిక కార్యకలాపాలు, పొడి గాలుల ప్రభావం కూడా దీనికి కారణంగా భావిస్తున్నారు.
వాతావరణ నిపుణుల ప్రకారం ఆదిలాబాద్, మంచిర్యాల వంటి జిల్లాలు మహారాష్ట్ర విదర్భ ప్రాంతానికి సమీపంగా ఉండటంతో సహజంగానే అధిక ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు నమోదవుతుంటాయి. భారత వాతావరణ శాఖ శాస్త్రవేత్త ధర్మరాజు తెలిపిన వివరాల ప్రకారం ఈ ప్రాంతం ‘హీట్ కోర్ జోన్’ పరిధిలోకి వస్తుంది.
ఉత్తర దిశ నుంచి వీస్తున్న పొడి గాలుల ప్రభావంతో భూ ఉపరితల ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు మరింత పెరుగుతున్నాయని ఆయన తెలిపారు. ఏప్రిల్ 29 వరకు రాష్ట్రంలో వడగాలులు కొనసాగనున్నాయని, ఆ తర్వాత కొన్ని జిల్లాల్లో వర్షాలు కురిసే అవకాశం ఉందని వాతావరణ శాఖ అంచనా వేసింది.
ప్రభుత్వం ఇప్పటికే ప్రజలకు అప్రమత్తత సూచనలు జారీ చేసింది. అత్యవసరమైతే తప్ప మధ్యాహ్న సమయంలో బయటకు రావద్దని, తగినంత నీరు తీసుకోవాలని సూచించింది.

Heatwave conditions are intensifying across Telangana as three more towns from the state have entered the list of the world’s top 100 hottest places based on recent global temperature records.
While Adilabad was already part of the list, Ramagundam, Mancherial and Kothapet have now joined the global hotspot ranking. According to the latest data released by the Prana Air AQI portal, Ramagundam ranked 59th among the hottest places in the world.
Mancherial stood at 64th position, Kothapet at 76th, and Adilabad at 91st. Maximum temperatures in these four locations were recorded between 43 degrees Celsius and 44.4 degrees Celsius.
The heat intensity is especially severe in North Telangana districts. Industrial and coal belt regions such as Ramagundam and Mancherial are experiencing stronger heat stress due to local climatic and geographical conditions.
Weather experts say districts like Adilabad and Mancherial naturally record higher temperatures as they are located close to Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, which is known for extreme summer heat.
According to IMD scientist Dharma Raju, this belt falls under the “heat core zone,” where land surface temperatures rise significantly during dry wind flow from northern regions.
He said dry winds from the north are currently pushing temperatures upward, and heatwave conditions are likely to continue in Telangana until April 29. Rainfall is expected in some districts after that period.
The government and weather department have already issued warnings, advising people to avoid outdoor movement during afternoon hours unless necessary and to stay hydrated during the peak summer conditions.
