హైదరాబాద్లోని దుర్గం చెరువు ఫ్లైఓవర్ సమీపంలో జరిగిన వేగవంతమైన బెంజ్ కారు ఢీకొన్న ప్రమాదంలో ఓ వ్యక్తి మృతి చెందాడు. ఈ ఘటనలో మృతుడు 35 ఏళ్ల శ్యామ్ రాజ్గా పోలీసులు గుర్తించారు.
సోమవారం తెల్లవారుజామున సుమారు 3 గంటల సమయంలో శ్యామ్ రాజ్ తన భార్యతో కలిసి ఫ్లైఓవర్ రైలింగ్ వద్ద కూర్చున్నాడు. కొద్దిసేపటి తర్వాత ఆయన రైలింగ్ నుంచి బయటకు అడుగు వేయగా, అత్యంత వేగంగా వచ్చిన ఎర్ర రంగు మెర్సిడెస్ C230 కారు అతడిని ఢీకొట్టింది.
ఢీకొన్న తీవ్రతకు శ్యామ్ రాజ్ రెండు కాళ్లు తెగిపోయినట్లు పోలీసులు తెలిపారు. వెంటనే అతడిని ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించినప్పటికీ దాదాపు 12 గంటల చికిత్స అనంతరం మృతి చెందాడు.
ప్రమాదానికి కారణమైన కారు పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ రిజిస్ట్రేషన్కు చెందినదిగా గుర్తించారు. అది క్వాంటమ్ మినరల్స్ అండ్ మెటల్స్ ప్రైవేట్ లిమిటెడ్ సంస్థ పేరిట నమోదై ఉన్నట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు.
ప్రమాద సమయంలో కారు గంటకు 100 కిలోమీటర్లకు పైగా వేగంతో ప్రయాణించి ఉండొచ్చని పోలీసులు అనుమానిస్తున్నారు. ఘటన అనంతరం డ్రైవర్ అక్కడి నుంచి పారిపోయాడు.
సీసీటీవీ దృశ్యాలను పోలీసులు పరిశీలిస్తున్నారు. అలాగే వాహనం రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ మరియు ఫిట్నెస్ గడువు కూడా ముగిసినట్లు అధికారులు గుర్తించారు. నిందితుడి కోసం ప్రత్యేక బృందాలు గాలింపు కొనసాగిస్తున్నాయి.

A fatal hit-and-run accident near Durgam Cheruvu Flyover in Hyderabad has triggered an intensive police search for the driver of a speeding Mercedes involved in the incident. The victim was identified as 35-year-old Shyam Raj.
According to police, the accident took place around 3 AM when Shyam Raj was sitting near the flyover railing along with his wife. As he stepped away from the railing, a red Mercedes C230 allegedly travelling at very high speed hit him and crashed into the railing.
The impact was severe, and police said both his legs were reportedly severed in the crash. He was immediately shifted to a hospital, where he died after nearly 12 hours of treatment.
Investigators found that the vehicle carried West Bengal registration and belonged to Quantum Minerals and Metals Pvt Ltd. Officials suspect the car was moving at over 100 kmph at the time of the accident.
The driver fled the scene and remains untraceable. Police are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area. Officials also found that the vehicle’s registration and fitness had already expired.
