తెలంగాణలో మహిళా సంఘాలకు ఉపాధి అవకాశాలను పెంచేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా మహిళల ఆధ్వర్యంలో కొత్త పెట్రోల్ బంకులను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ప్రణాళిక రూపొందించింది.
Telangana government has taken a key decision to boost employment for women self-help groups by planning to establish new petrol bunks operated entirely by women across the state.
తెలంగాణలో మహిళలను ఆర్థికంగా బలోపేతం చేయాలనే లక్ష్యంతో ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలు వేగవంతం చేసింది. ఇందిరా మహిళా శక్తి పథకం కింద మహిళా సంఘాలకు స్వయం ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు కల్పించేందుకు పెట్రోల్ బంకుల కేటాయింపుపై దృష్టి సారించింది. ఈ బంకుల్లో సిబ్బంది నుంచి యాజమాన్యం వరకు మహిళలే ఉండేలా ప్రణాళిక రూపొందించడం ప్రత్యేకతగా నిలుస్తోంది.
ఇప్పటికే సంగారెడ్డి, నారాయణపేట జిల్లాల్లో మహిళా సంఘాల ఆధ్వర్యంలో నడుస్తున్న పెట్రోల్ బంకులు విజయవంతంగా కొనసాగుతున్నాయి. ఈ అనుభవాన్ని దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని రాష్ట్రంలోని ఇతర జిల్లాలకు కూడా ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ను విస్తరించాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది.
మొత్తం 40 కొత్త పెట్రోల్ బంకులను ఏర్పాటు చేసేందుకు అధికారులు చర్యలు ప్రారంభించారు. ఇందుకోసం ఇండియన్ ఆయిల్ కార్పొరేషన్, భారత్ పెట్రోలియం, హిందూస్థాన్ పెట్రోలియం సంస్థలతో ఒప్పందాలు కుదిరాయి. వీటిలో 20 బంకులను జూన్ 2 నాటికి ప్రారంభించాలనే లక్ష్యంతో పనులు కొనసాగుతున్నాయి.
పెట్రోల్ బంకుల కోసం ఇప్పటికే పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో భూములను సేకరించి మహిళా సంఘాలకు అప్పగించారు. కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో నిర్మాణ పనులు కొనసాగుతుండగా, మరికొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో భూముల గుర్తింపు ప్రక్రియ కొనసాగుతోంది. జూలై నెలాఖరుకల్లా అన్ని బంకులను ప్రారంభించేలా అధికారులు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నారు.
The Telangana government is accelerating efforts to economically empower women through employment opportunities. Under the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme, petrol bunks are being allotted to women self-help groups, where all roles—from staff to ownership—will be managed by women.
Petrol bunks already operated by women groups in Sangareddy and Narayanpet districts have shown positive results. Encouraged by this success, the government is expanding the initiative to other districts.
Officials have initiated steps to set up 40 new petrol bunks across the state. Agreements have been made with Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum for implementation. Out of these, 20 bunks are targeted to be operational by June 2.
Land has already been identified and handed over in several locations. Construction is underway in some areas, while land identification continues in others. Authorities aim to make all bunks functional by the end of July.
