Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy participated in the Bhoomi Puja ceremony for renovation works at the Sri Gnana Saraswati Devi Devasthanam temple in Basara of Nirmal district.

During the visit, the Chief Minister performed special prayers and formally launched the temple renovation initiative aimed at improving infrastructure and facilities for devotees visiting the historic temple.

Officials stated that the development works are expected to focus on pilgrim amenities, improved access arrangements, infrastructure upgrades and better management of pilgrim flow. The temple, which attracts thousands of devotees including students and families, is considered an important spiritual destination in Telangana.

Authorities indicated that the renovation project will also include improvements in surrounding facilities to strengthen religious tourism in the Basara region. Public representatives, endowments department officials and district administration officers were also present during the programme.

The government expects that the temple development initiative will enhance pilgrim experience and boost local economic activity through increased religious tourism.
