తిరుమల భక్తులకు శుభవార్తగా టీటీడీ హుండీలలో నాణేల బదులు డిజిటల్ ముడుపు పత్రాల విధానాన్ని ప్రవేశపెట్టేందుకు సిద్ధమవుతోంది. భక్తుల సౌకర్యం, పారదర్శకత పెంపుదల లక్ష్యంగా ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంటోంది.
తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానం భక్తుల సౌకర్యార్థం పలు మార్పుల దిశగా చర్యలు ప్రారంభించింది. ఈ క్రమంలో హుండీలలో చిల్లర నాణేలు వేసే సంప్రదాయానికి ప్రత్యామ్నాయంగా “ముడుపు పత్రాలు” అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురావాలని నిర్ణయించింది. ప్రతిరోజూ వేలాది మంది, ప్రతి ఏడాది సుమారు 2.5 కోట్ల మంది భక్తులు తిరుమల శ్రీవారిని దర్శించుకుంటున్నారు. దర్శనం అనంతరం హుండీలో కానుకలు సమర్పించడం శతాబ్దాలుగా కొనసాగుతున్న ఆనవాయితీ.
టీటీడీ బడ్జెట్లో ప్రధాన ఆదాయ వనరు హుండీనే. 2025 సంవత్సరంలో హుండీ ఆదాయం రూ.1,383 కోట్లు నమోదైంది. ఇప్పటి వరకు భక్తులు మొక్కు రూపంలో చిల్లర నాణేలు, నగదు హుండీలో వేస్తున్నారు. ఇకపై నాణేలకు బదులు ముడుపు పత్రాలను హుండీలో వేయడానికి వీలు కల్పించనున్నారు.
తిరుపతి మరియు తిరుమలలోని ముఖ్య ప్రాంతాల్లో ముడుపు పత్రాల కౌంటర్లు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ప్రతిపాదించారు. భక్తులు ఫోన్ పే, గూగుల్ పే, పేటీఎం, నెఫ్ట్ వంటి డిజిటల్ విధానాల ద్వారా నగదు చెల్లిస్తే, అందుకు సమానమైన విలువతో ముడుపు పత్రాలు జారీ చేస్తారు. ఆ పత్రాలను భక్తులు హుండీలో సమర్పించవచ్చు. దీనివల్ల భారీగా నాణేలు, నగదు తీసుకెళ్లాల్సిన అవసరం తగ్గుతుంది.
చైర్మన్ బీఆర్ నాయుడు అధ్యక్షతన అన్నమయ్య భవనంలో జరగనున్న ధర్మకర్తల మండలి సమావేశంలో ఈ ప్రతిపాదనకు ఆమోదం తెలపనున్నట్లు సమాచారం. అదేవిధంగా మాతృశ్రీ తరిగొండ వెంగమాంబ అన్నప్రసాద కేంద్రంలో జరుగుతున్న అన్నదాన కార్యక్రమంలో సామాన్య భక్తుల భాగస్వామ్యాన్ని పెంచే చర్యలపై కూడా చర్చించనున్నారు.
ప్రస్తుతం ఒకరోజు అన్నప్రసాద వితరణకు లక్షల్లో విరాళాలు అవసరమవుతున్నాయి. పెద్ద మొత్తంలో విరాళం ఇవ్వలేని భక్తుల కోసం పదిమంది లేదా వందమంది భక్తులకు సరిపడే విరాళం అందించినా, వారి పేరుతో అన్నదానం నిర్వహించే విధానాన్ని అమలు చేయాలని ప్రతిపాదించారు. ఈ అంశంపై కూడా సమావేశంలో నిర్ణయం తీసుకునే అవకాశం ఉంది.
TTD has initiated measures aimed at enhancing devotee convenience at Tirumala. As part of the reforms, it has decided to introduce “Mudupu Patralu” (offering slips) as an alternative to coins in temple hundis. Nearly 2.5 crore devotees visit the temple annually, and offering donations in the hundi remains a long-standing tradition.
The hundi constitutes a major revenue source for TTD, with ₹1,383 crore collected in 2025 alone. Under the proposed system, devotees can make digital payments through PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, or NEFT and receive offering slips of equivalent value. These slips can then be deposited in the hundi, reducing the inconvenience of carrying coins and cash.
The proposal is expected to be discussed and approved at the TTD Board meeting chaired by B.R. Naidu at Annamayya Bhavan. Additionally, measures to enable small donors to participate in the Annadanam scheme at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex are also likely to be considered. Devotees contributing smaller amounts sufficient for feeding 10 or 100 people may be allowed to have annadanam performed in their name.
