Medaram Jatara hundi counting ends, ₹13.25 crore collected
ప్రపంచ ప్రఖ్యాత మేడారం సమ్మక్క–సారలమ్మ మహాజాతర హుండీ లెక్కింపు ప్రక్రియ పూర్తైంది. మొత్తం 828 హుండీలను తెరిచి రూ.13,25,83,269 ఆదాయం లభించినట్లు దేవాదాయ శాఖ అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు.
ఈ నెల 5వ తేదీ నుంచి హనుమకొండలోని టీటీడీ కల్యాణ మండపంలో హుండీ లెక్కింపు నిర్వహించారు. వారం రోజుల పాటు సుమారు 400 మంది సిబ్బంది దేవాదాయ శాఖ అధికారుల పర్యవేక్షణలో, కట్టుదిట్టమైన భద్రతా ఏర్పాట్ల మధ్య నగదు మరియు ఆభరణాలను లెక్కించారు.
హుండీల్లో నగదుతో పాటు విదేశీ కరెన్సీ, రద్దు నోట్లు, బంగారం, వెండి ఆభరణాలు లభించాయి. మొత్తం ఆదాయం రూ.13.25 కోట్లకు పైగా నమోదైంది.
గత మహాజాతరలో 540 హుండీల ద్వారా రూ.13.25 కోట్ల ఆదాయం వచ్చిందని అధికారులు గుర్తు చేశారు. ఈసారి 828 హుండీలు ఏర్పాటు చేసినప్పటికీ ఆదాయం దాదాపు సమాన స్థాయిలోనే ఉండటం గమనార్హమని తెలిపారు. హుండీల సంఖ్య పెరిగినా ఆదాయం పెరుగుదల పరిమితంగానే ఉన్నట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు.
లక్షలాది మంది భక్తులు పాల్గొనే మేడారం జాతరలో హుండీ ఆదాయం దేవాలయ అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలకు వినియోగించనున్నారు. లభించిన నగదు, ఆభరణాలను ప్రభుత్వ నిబంధనల ప్రకారం బ్యాంకుల్లో జమ చేయనున్నట్లు దేవాదాయ శాఖ అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
The hundi counting process of the globally renowned Medaram Sammakka–Saralamma Jatara has been completed, with total collections reaching ₹13,25,83,269 from 828 hundis, officials of the Endowments Department said.
The counting was conducted at the TTD Kalyana Mandapam in Hanumakonda from the 5th of this month. Around 400 staff members carried out the exercise over a week under tight security and official supervision.
Apart from cash, the hundis contained foreign currency, demonetised notes, gold and silver ornaments. The total revenue crossed ₹13.25 crore.
During the previous Jatara, 540 hundis generated ₹13.25 crore. Though the number of hundis increased to 828 this time, the overall revenue remained at a similar level, officials noted.
With lakhs of devotees attending the Medaram Jatara, the hundi income will support temple development activities. The collected cash and valuables will be deposited in banks as per government norms.
