The Telangana government has stated that it is strengthening the revenue administration to resolve longstanding land disputes and improve the delivery of revenue services. A review meeting with senior Revenue Department officials was held at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat to assess the implementation of the Bhu Bharati Act, distribution of pattadar passbooks, land resurvey and progress in resolving land-related issues.
Officials were directed to work more effectively at the field level to ensure that revenue services are delivered to the public transparently and promptly. The government said land resurvey would be undertaken across the state to address pending disputes and provide pattadar passbooks to eligible landholders.
According to the figures shared in the statement, 568,858 passbooks have been issued since the Bhu Bharati Act came into force on April 14, 2025. The statement also reported that 1,240,366 passbooks had been distributed to farmers over the past 34 months.
The government said pattadar passbooks would help farmers access bank loans, Rythu Bharosa and other government welfare schemes. It added that the resurvey process would be extended to other areas, with passbooks issued to eligible landholders.
