Revanth Reddy Launches “Stand With Her” Campaign in Hyderabad, Urges Men to Support Women’s Safety
Women’s safety should not be treated only as a policing issue but as a collective social responsibility, said Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He called on men to act as brand ambassadors for protecting women and to actively support the “Stand With Her” campaign.
తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి మహిళల భద్రతను కేవలం పోలీస్ వ్యవస్థ బాధ్యతగా కాకుండా సమాజం మొత్తం బాధ్యతగా భావించాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. మహిళల రక్షణలో మగవారు బ్రాండ్ అంబాసిడర్లుగా ముందుకు రావాలని, “స్టాండ్ విత్ హర్” సందేశాన్ని సమాజంలో విస్తరించాలని సూచించారు.
The Chief Minister launched the “Stand With Her” campaign at the JNTU campus auditorium in Hyderabad, organized by the Telangana Police Women Safety Wing. On the occasion, he released the campaign brochure and appreciated the initiative aimed at encouraging men to play a responsible role in ensuring women’s safety, dignity, and equality.
హైదరాబాద్లోని జేఎన్టీయూ క్యాంపస్ ఆడిటోరియంలో తెలంగాణ పోలీస్ మహిళా భద్రతా విభాగం ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహించిన “స్టాండ్ విత్ హర్” ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా క్యాంపెయిన్ బ్రోచర్ను ఆవిష్కరించారు. మహిళల భద్రత, గౌరవం, సమానత్వాన్ని కాపాడడంలో పురుషులు బాధ్యతాయుతమైన పాత్ర పోషించాల్సిన అవసరాన్ని ఈ కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా తెలియజేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
He advised youth to develop the courage to question whenever women face harassment in society. Ignoring such incidents is equivalent to encouraging crime, he warned. He said that the same concern people show when their own family members face harassment should be extended to every woman in society.
సమాజంలో ఎక్కడైనా మహిళలు వేధింపులకు గురైతే యువత ముందుకు వచ్చి ప్రశ్నించే ధైర్యం పెంపొందించుకోవాలని సూచించారు. వేధింపులను చూసి చూడనట్టు ఉండటం కూడా నేరాన్ని ప్రోత్సహించడమే అవుతుందని హెచ్చరించారు. కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు ఎదురయ్యే వేధింపులపై ఎలా స్పందిస్తామో, ఇతర మహిళల విషయంలో కూడా అదే భావనతో స్పందించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందన్నారు.
The Chief Minister explained that the Telangana government is taking several measures not only to ensure women’s safety but also to strengthen their economic independence. Schemes such as Indiramma housing and interest-free loans are being provided in women’s names, and women are being encouraged to become owners of solar power units and RTC buses.
మహిళల భద్రతతో పాటు వారి ఆర్థిక స్వావలంబనకు తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేక ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తోందని తెలిపారు. ఇందిరమ్మ ఇండ్లు, వడ్డీలేని రుణాలు మహిళల పేరుమీద ఇవ్వడం, సోలార్ విద్యుత్ ఉత్పత్తి కేంద్రాలు మరియు ఆర్టీసీ బస్సుల యాజమాన్యంలో మహిళలకు అవకాశాలు కల్పించడం వంటి చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నట్లు వివరించారు.
He said the government has partnered with companies like Amazon to enable rural women’s products to reach international markets. To promote women’s education, the state has named the Women’s University after freedom fighter Chakali Ailamma and installed the Telangana Thalli statue as a symbol of women’s inspiration for the state.
గ్రామీణ మహిళలు తయారు చేసే ఉత్పత్తులను అంతర్జాతీయ మార్కెట్కు చేర్చేందుకు అమెజాన్ వంటి సంస్థలతో ఒప్పందాలు కుదుర్చుకున్నామని తెలిపారు. మహిళా విద్యాభివృద్ధి కోసం మహిళా విశ్వవిద్యాలయానికి వీరనారి చాకలి ఐలమ్మ పేరు పెట్టినట్లు చెప్పారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రానికి ఆడబిడ్డే స్పూర్తిగా నిలవాలని ‘తెలంగాణ తల్లి’ ప్రతిమలను ప్రతిష్టించినట్లు వివరించారు.
He stated that women’s participation is crucial to achieve the Telangana Rising 2047 vision. The state can progress towards a 3-trillion-dollar economy only when women achieve economic empowerment, he said, adding that ensuring complete safety for women is essential for this goal.
తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ 2047 విజన్ సాధనలో మహిళల భాగస్వామ్యం కీలకమని పేర్కొన్నారు. మహిళలు ఆర్థికంగా బలోపేతం అయితేనే రాష్ట్రం 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థగా ఎదగగలదని అన్నారు. ఇందుకు మహిళలకు సంపూర్ణ భద్రత అవసరమని తెలిపారు.
He noted that while harassment earlier occurred mostly in physical spaces, online crimes have increased significantly in recent times. The Telangana Cyber Crime Wing has been strengthened to tackle offences such as deepfake videos and other digital threats.
గతంలో ప్రధానంగా బహిరంగ ప్రదేశాల్లో వేధింపులు ఎక్కువగా ఉండేవని, ప్రస్తుతం ఆన్లైన్ నేరాలు పెరుగుతున్నాయని చెప్పారు. డీప్ ఫేక్ వీడియోలు వంటి సైబర్ నేరాలను నియంత్రించేందుకు తెలంగాణ సైబర్ క్రైమ్ విభాగాన్ని బలోపేతం చేసినట్లు తెలిపారు.
The Chief Minister also urged society to abandon the harmful practice of blaming women whenever incidents occur. He said the “Stand With Her” message is intended to encourage people to support women who face difficulties.
మహిళలపై ఏదైనా ఘటన జరిగినప్పుడు వారినే నిందించే చెడు సంప్రదాయాన్ని సమాజం వదిలివేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందన్నారు. ఇబ్బందుల్లో ఉన్న మహిళలకు అండగా నిలబడాలనే సందేశంతో “స్టాండ్ విత్ హర్” నినాదాన్ని ముందుకు తీసుకువస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
The event was attended by senior Telangana Police officials, Women Safety Wing officers, actor Sai Dharam Tej, students, and other participants.
