పులివెందుల, ఒంటిమిట్ట ZPTC ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో చోటుచేసుకున్న అవకతవకలు, దౌర్జన్యాలు ప్రజాస్వామ్యాన్ని తీవ్రంగా దెబ్బతీశాయి. ఈ ఎన్నికలు రద్దు చేసి, కేంద్ర బలగాల ఆధ్వర్యంలో మళ్లీ నిర్వహించాలంటూ డిమాండ్ చేశారు.

పులివెందుల నియోజకవర్గంలోని ఒక చిన్న ZPTC సీటు, రాజంపేటలోని ఒంటిమిట్ట ZPTC సీటు గెలుచుకునేందుకు ప్రభుత్వ యంత్రాంగం, పోలీసు బలగాలను వాడుకున్నారని ఆరోపణలు వచ్చాయి. పోలింగ్ బూత్లను అనవసరంగా దూర ప్రాంతాలకు మార్చడం, ఇతర ప్రాంతాల కార్యకర్తలను తెచ్చి బూత్లు ఆక్రమించడం, ఓటర్లను భయపెట్టడం, ఏజెంట్లను బలవంతంగా బయటకు పంపడం వంటి ఘటనలు చోటుచేసుకున్నాయి. మహిళా ఏజెంట్లపైనా దాడులు జరిగినట్లు సమాచారం. పోలీసులు, ఉన్నతాధికారులు ఈ చర్యలను అడ్డుకోవలసింది పోయి, నిశ్శబ్దంగా చూస్తూ ఉన్నారని ఆరోపించారు.
అధికార దుర్వినియోగం, రిగ్గింగ్, ఎన్నికల ప్రక్రియలో విఘాతం వంటి చర్యలు ప్రజాస్వామ్యాన్ని దెబ్బతీస్తాయని, ఈ పరిస్థితుల్లో ఫలితాలు ప్రజల నిజమైన ఓటు తీర్పు కాదని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. రాష్ట్ర ఎన్నికల సంఘం, రాజ్యాంగ వ్యవస్థలు ఈ ఘటనలపై చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని, సాక్ష్యాలు, ఆధారాలతో న్యాయస్థానాన్ని ఆశ్రయిస్తామని తెలిపారు.
Hyderabad: Allegations have emerged that government machinery and police forces were misused to capture the Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC seats. Reports indicate shifting polling booths far from villages, bringing in outsiders to occupy booths, intimidating voters, and forcibly removing polling agents. There were also incidents of attacks on women agents. Police and senior officials allegedly remained silent instead of preventing these violations.
Observers stated that abuse of power, rigging, and disruption of the electoral process have severely damaged democracy, and under such circumstances, the results cannot be considered the true verdict of the people. They demanded that the State Election Commission and constitutional bodies take action, adding that they will approach the court with evidence of the irregularities.
