Batting first after losing the toss, Spirit were propelled by former Australia opener David Warner’s explosive 70* off 45 balls, featuring two sixes and eight fours, taking the team to 163/5. Captain Kane Williamson scored 14, Jamie Smith 26, and Aston Turner 24, while Josh Hull took two wickets for Welsh Fire.
Chasing 164, wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow led Welsh Fire’s charge with an unbeaten 86 off 50 balls, hitting six sixes and six fours.
