మారుతున్న పరిస్థితులకు అనుగుణంగా ఆర్టీసీని ఆధునీకరిస్తున్నామని తెలంగాణ ఉపముఖ్యమంత్రి భట్టి విక్రమార్క తెలిపారు. సూర్యాపేట ఆర్టీసీ డిపోలో ఎలక్ట్రిక్ బస్సులు ప్రారంభించిన సందర్భంగా మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ, మహాలక్ష్మి పథకం కింద మహిళలు ఉచితంగా ప్రయాణించినా, ప్రభుత్వం ఆర్టీసీకి రూ. 6,088 కోట్లు చెల్లించిందని స్పష్టం చేశారు.

ఇప్పటివరకు మహిళలకు 182 కోట్ల జీరో టికెట్లు జారీ చేసినట్టు ఆయన వెల్లడించారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఆర్టీసీ బస్సులు పూర్తి సామర్థ్యంతో నడుస్తున్నాయి అని, అదే ఆర్టీసీ నిలదొక్కుకునే కారణమని తెలిపారు.

మహిళలకు ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణం లేకపోతే ఆర్టీసీ ఆర్థికంగా కొనసాగడం కష్టమైపోయేదని పేర్కొన్నారు. ప్రజా ప్రభుత్వం చొరవతో సంస్థ లాభాల బాటలో నడుస్తోందని అన్నారు.

హైదరాబాద్‌లో ఒఆర్ఆర్ పరిధిలో 2,800 బ్యాటరీ బస్సులు తీసుకువచ్చామనీ, కాలుష్య నివారణలో కీలకపాత్ర పోషించనున్నాయని భట్టి చెప్పారు.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has said that TSRTC is being modernized to meet the evolving needs of the public. Speaking at the launch of electric buses at the TSRTC depot in Suryapet, he clarified that although women are enjoying free travel under the Mahalakshmi scheme, the government has reimbursed ₹6,088 crore to TSRTC.

So far, 182 crore free zero-value tickets have been issued to women. The Deputy CM stated that buses are running at full capacity, which is a clear sign that the corporation is on a growth path.

He emphasized that without the free bus scheme for women, TSRTC would have struggled to survive. The government’s proactive approach has kept the organization afloat and on the path to profitability.

To combat urban air pollution, the government has introduced 2,800 electric buses within ORR limits in Hyderabad. Bhatti assured that the government remains committed to a pollution-free and accessible transport system.
