పాత గుట్టల ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్న పెద్దమ్మ ఆలయం ధ్వంసం కావడంతో బంజారాహిల్స్‌లో ఉద్రిక్తత ఏర్పడింది. ఆలయాన్ని అర్థరాత్రి గుర్తుతెలియని వ్యక్తులు కూల్చేశారన్న ఆరోపణలపై భక్తులు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.

బంజారాహిల్స్ ఎమ్మెల్యే కాలనీలో గుట్టలపై ఉన్న అమ్మవారి విగ్రహాన్ని గతంలోనే తొలగించగా, అదే ప్రదేశంలో కొత్తగా భవనం నిర్మించి అక్కడ అమ్మవారిని ప్రతిష్టించినట్లు భక్తులు తెలిపారు. ఈ ఏడాది బోనాల ఉత్సవాలు కూడా అక్కడే ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారని చెప్పారు.
అయితే మంగళవారం అర్థరాత్రి దుండగులు ఆలయ నిర్మాణాన్ని కూల్చివేశారని వారు ఆరోపిస్తున్నారు. దీంతో ప్రాంతంలో స్వల్ప ఉద్రిక్తత నెలకొంది. సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు ఘటనాస్థలానికి చేరుకుని స్థానికులతో మాట్లాడి పరిస్థితిని నియంత్రించారు. పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌కి వెళ్లి ఫిర్యాదు చేయాలని సూచించడంతో వారు శాంతించారు.
పోలీసులు సంఘటనపై కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు ప్రారంభించారు. ఆలయం ధ్వంసానికి సంబంధించి పూర్తి స్థాయిలో సమాచారం సమకూర్చే వరకు భద్రత పెంచినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

Tension broke out in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, after a temple structure dedicated to Pedamma was reportedly demolished at midnight by unidentified individuals. Local residents expressed outrage and demanded immediate action.
The temple was located in the MLA Colony of Banjara Hills. Previously, a Pedamma idol on the hillock in the area was removed, and a new structure was constructed at the same spot. Devotees stated that Bonalu celebrations were held there with devotion earlier this year.
According to the locals, the newly built structure was brought down late on Tuesday night. Following this, mild unrest spread in the surrounding area. Police reached the scene quickly and tried to pacify the residents. They advised the public to formally lodge a complaint at the police station, after which the crowd dispersed peacefully.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. Officials said they are collecting complete details and have increased security in the area to prevent further disturbances.
