ఇప్పటికే గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో సుమారు 400 సీసీ కెమెరాలు ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. అదనంగా మరో 150 కెమెరాలు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని నిర్ణయించారు. ఈ వ్యవస్థను పర్యవేక్షించడానికి కమాండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్ ఏర్పాటు పనులు కూడా కొనసాగుతున్నాయి.
ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు స్థానిక సంస్థలు మరియు కార్పొరేట్ సామాజిక బాధ్యత (CSR) నిధుల ద్వారా మద్దతు లభించే అవకాశముంది. ఫైబర్ కనెక్టివిటీ మరియు వీధి దీపాల మెరుగుదల కూడా చేపట్టాలని పోలీసులు భావిస్తున్నారు.

Telangana police have initiated a survey to install CCTV cameras along the Siddipet–Karimnagar highway corridor as part of efforts to improve road safety and crime monitoring infrastructure.
According to officials, the survey covers nearly a 100-kilometre stretch focusing on accident-prone zones, poorly monitored areas and identified black spots. The objective is to strengthen surveillance and enable quicker response to emergencies and criminal incidents.
Police said around 400 CCTV cameras are already operational in villages along the corridor, and plans are underway to install an additional 150 cameras. Authorities are also working on establishing a dedicated Command Control Centre to enable real-time monitoring and coordination.
The project is expected to receive support from local municipal bodies and may also be funded partly through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Officials indicated that improvements in fibre network connectivity and highway lighting are also being considered as part of the safety upgrade.
Authorities believe the initiative will help reduce accidents, improve law enforcement response and enhance public safety across the Siddipet and Karimnagar districts.
