The development follows a recent meeting between Modi and Rolls-Royce CEO Tufan Erginbilgic, where both sides discussed strengthening long-term industrial cooperation.
According to the company, the expansion aims to enhance advanced manufacturing capabilities in India, support defence indigenisation and deepen collaboration in clean energy solutions. The move aligns with the broader India-UK Vision 2035 framework and ongoing strategic partnership initiatives.
Rolls-Royce already operates in India in the aero engines and power systems segments. Industry observers believe the expansion could generate high-technology opportunities, skill development and employment growth in critical sectors.
