బనకచర్ల ప్రాజెక్టుపై చంద్రబాబు, లోకేష్ దూకుడుగా వ్యవహరిస్తుండగా, సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి మౌనం పాటించడం వెనుక లోపాయికార ఒప్పందమే కారణమని మాజీ మంత్రి హరీష్ రావు ఆరోపించారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రాజెక్టులకు అనుమతులు ఉన్నా, బనకచర్లకు అనుమతులే లేవని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు.

హైదరాబాద్‌లో తెలంగాణ భవన్‌లో శుక్రవారం హరీష్ మాట్లాడారు. కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాల వైఫల్యంతో బనకచర్ల ప్రాజెక్టును అడ్డుకోవడంలో నిర్లక్ష్యంగా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నాయని విమర్శించారు. లోకేష్ ప్రాజెక్టు కట్టి తీరుతాం అంటుంటే, రేవంత్ మాత్రం అది కడుతలేరు అంటుండటం అన్యాయం అని అన్నారు.
రేవంత్ చంద్రబాబును మెప్పించేందుకే గురుదక్షిణ చల్లిస్తున్నాడని, కేంద్రానికి, చంద్రబాబుకి భయపడి మౌనం వహిస్తున్నాడని ఆరోపించారు. బిజెపీ, కాంగ్రెస్ నేతల మౌనం వల్లే చంద్రబాబు బుల్డోజ్ విధానంతో ముందుకు వెళ్తున్నాడని అన్నారు.
బనకచర్ల ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించి డీపీఆర్‌ను నాలుగు కేంద్ర సంస్థలు తిరస్కరించాయని, మిగులు జలాలు అనే వాదన తప్పు అని హరీష్ పేర్కొన్నారు. మిగులు జలాల లెక్కలు, వాటాల వివరాలు తేల్చకుండానే ఏపీ ప్రభుత్వం బలవంతంగా ప్రాజెక్టును నిర్మించడం అన్యాయమని అన్నారు.
కాళేశ్వరం ప్రాజెక్టుకు అన్ని అనుమతులు ఉన్నాయని స్పష్టం చేస్తూ, దానిపై ఏపీలో జరుగుతున్న విమర్శలు కుట్రలేనని చెప్పారు. గోదావరి నీళ్లను కృష్ణాకు మళ్లించాలన్న కుట్రలో భాగంగానే బనకచర్ల నిర్మాణం జరుగుతోందని పేర్కొన్నారు. కేసీఆర్ తానే మహారాష్ట్రకు వెళ్లి అనుమతులు తీసుకువచ్చారని గుర్తు చేశారు.
ఉమ్మడి రాష్ట్రంలో ఇచ్చిన 968 టీఎంసీల పరిధిలో తెలంగాణ నిర్మిస్తున్న ప్రాజెక్టులను అడ్డుకోవడం తప్పని, రేవంత్ ప్రభుత్వానికీ చంద్రబాబు ప్రభుత్వానికీ లోపాయికార ఒప్పందం స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తోందని హరీష్ వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

While Chandrababu and Lokesh are aggressively pushing for the Banakacharla project, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s silence indicates a possible secret pact, alleged former minister Harish Rao. He said that while Telangana’s projects have all necessary approvals, Banakacharla has none.
Speaking to media at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, Harish Rao criticized both the Centre and the state government for their failure to oppose the Banakacharla project. “Lokesh is saying they will build it at any cost, while Revanth remains silent. That’s not acceptable,” he said.
He accused Revanth of trying to impress Chandrababu and Delhi for personal gains, rather than safeguarding Telangana’s interests. The muted response from BJP and Congress leaders is giving Chandrababu the courage to bulldoze his way forward, he claimed.
Harish pointed out that four central government agencies have rejected the DPR (Detailed Project Report) of the Banakacharla project and questioned the logic behind the claim of surplus waters. “Who certified these so-called surplus waters? If they really exist, why hasn’t the Centre allocated specific shares to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh?” he asked.
He asserted that Telangana’s Kaleshwaram project has received all approvals, and criticism from AP leaders is part of a larger conspiracy to divert Godavari waters to Krishna. He reminded that KCR personally met Maharashtra’s Governor and CM multiple times to get approvals for Kaleshwaram.
Harish alleged that the Banakacharla project is being pushed to transport not only Godavari water but also Krishna water, as part of a deliberate plan. He recalled Chandrababu himself talking about doubling the right canal of Nagarjuna Sagar to facilitate this.
He questioned why Andhra Pradesh is opposing Telangana projects that fall within its legally allocated 968 TMC share, while it pushes ahead with unauthorized constructions like Banakacharla. He called it a double standard.
“If you say you’ll go ahead and construct, we’ll stop you no matter what. If you claim to understand the permission process, then know that we understand how to stop it too,” Harish warned.
He challenged Lokesh to first get Andhra Pradesh to accept Telangana’s rightful 968 TMC share and withdraw letters written to the Centre opposing Telangana projects. “You are stirring regional tensions. All we want is our rightful share in the Godavari. The numbers must be clarified,” he said.
He concluded that the silence of Revanth Reddy and the cooperation of BJP and Congress suggest a clear backroom understanding with Chandrababu, and vowed to continue resisting illegal and unfair water projects that harm Telangana.
