Police have registered a POCSO case against the husband of a sarpanch in Mulugu district over the alleged sexual assault of a minor. Investigation is currently in progress.
ములుగు జిల్లాలో ఒక గ్రామానికి చెందిన సర్పంచ్ భర్తపై పోక్సో (POCSO) చట్టం కింద కేసు నమోదు చేసినట్లు పోలీసులు వెల్లడించారు. మైనర్ బాలికపై లైంగిక దాడి చేసినట్లు వచ్చిన ఫిర్యాదు మేరకు ఈ కేసు నమోదు చేసినట్లు తెలిపారు.
బాధితురాలి కుటుంబ సభ్యుల ఫిర్యాదు ఆధారంగా పోలీసులు కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు ప్రారంభించారు. ఘటనకు సంబంధించిన ఆధారాలను సేకరిస్తున్నట్లు, బాధితురాలికి వైద్య పరీక్షలు నిర్వహించినట్లు సమాచారం.
నిందితుడిని ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నట్లు, కేసులోని అన్ని అంశాలను పరిశీలిస్తున్నట్లు పోలీసులు తెలిపారు. దర్యాప్తు పూర్తైన తరువాత చట్టపరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని పేర్కొన్నారు.

Police in Mulugu district have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the husband of a village sarpanch following allegations of sexual assault on a minor.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family. Police said evidence related to the incident is being collected and the minor has been sent for medical examination as part of the investigation.
Officials stated that the accused is being questioned and all aspects of the case are under examination. Legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
