వచ్చే నెలలో స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలు: సీఎం రేవంత్ స్పష్టత

వచ్చే నెలలోనే స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలు నిర్వహించే అవకాశం ఉందని సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఈ మేరకు సోమవారం ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ కమాండ్కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్‌‍లో మంత్రులతో జరిగిన ప్రత్యేక సమావేశంలో ఆయన కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. వారం, పది రోజుల్లో రాష్ట్ర మంత్రివర్గ సమావేశం నిర్వహించి తుది నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంటామని చెప్పారు.
ఎన్నికలపై కొంతమంది మంత్రులు ముందస్తుగా ప్రకటిస్తున్న విషయంపై అసహనం వ్యక్తంచేశారు. మంత్రివర్గ నిర్ణయం తీసుకోకముందే ఎన్నికల గురించి మాట్లాడడం సరైంది కాదన్నారు. పైగా ఈ అంశం హైకోర్టులో పెండింగ్‌లో ఉందని గుర్తుచేశారు.
‘‘ప్రభుత్వ పథకాలను ప్రచారం చేయకుండా.. స్థానిక ఎన్నికలపై ప్రకటనలు ఏంటీ? ప్రజలకోసం ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తున్న పనులను వివరించడంపైన దృష్టి పెట్టాలి’’ అని స్పష్టంగా చెప్పారు.
బీసీలకు రిజర్వేషన్ల అంశంపై ముందుగా స్పష్టత తీసుకురావాల్సి ఉందన్నారు. లీగల్ ఇబ్బందులుంటే పార్టీ స్థాయిలో 42% రిజర్వేషన్లు కల్పించి ముందుకు వెళ్లాల్సి ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు.
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ చేపట్టిన బనకచర్ల ప్రాజెక్టుపై కేంద్రానికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేయాలని నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. జూన్ 18, 19 తేదీల్లో జలశక్తి మంత్రిని కలవాలని, ప్రధానిని కలిసేందుకు అపాయింట్మెంట్ కోరుతున్నామని వెల్లడించారు.
అంతేకాదు, వానాకాలం ముందుగానే వచ్చిన నేపథ్యంలో రైతులకు పెట్టుబడి సాయం ముందుగానే అందించేందుకు రైతు నేస్తం కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా రైతు భరోసా నిధులను జూన్‌లోనే పూర్తిగా పంపిణీ చేస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు. మంత్రులు తమ శాఖల కార్యక్రమాలను నెలవారీ టార్గెట్లతో అమలు చేయాలని సూచించారు.
Local Elections Next Month: Clarity from CM Revanth

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy made it clear that local body elections are likely to be held next month. During a special meeting with ministers at the Integrated Command Control Centre on Monday, he emphasized the need to be prepared. He mentioned that a final decision will be taken in the state cabinet meeting within the next week or ten days.
Expressing displeasure at ministers making premature public statements about the elections, CM said such announcements before a cabinet resolution were inappropriate, especially when the matter is sub judice in the High Court. He instructed ministers to focus on publicizing government welfare schemes instead.
Revanth also stressed the need to finalize BC reservations before announcing elections. In case of legal complications, the government might proceed with 42% BC reservation under the party’s stance.
Regarding the controversial Banakacharla project being taken up by the Andhra Pradesh government, Revanth said the Telangana government would present its objections at the central level. He informed that a visit to Delhi is scheduled on June 18-19 to meet the Union Jal Shakti Minister and to seek an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this issue.
He added that before elections, ministers should set monthly targets for welfare schemes, work in coordination with in-charge ministers, and deeply study their respective departments.
