కుప్పంలో మహిళపై దారుణమైన దాడి జరిగింది. అప్పు తీర్చలేదన్న కారణంతో ఓ మహిళను చెట్టుకు కట్టి దాడికి పాల్పడిన ఘటనపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు తీవ్ర ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. బాధితులపై తీవ్రంగా స్పందించిన సీఎం, నిందితులపై కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని పోలీసులకు ఆదేశించారు.
ఇప్పటికే జిల్లా ఎస్పీతో మాట్లాడిన చంద్రబాబు, ఈ ఘటన మరల జరగకుండా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలన్నారు. నిందితుడిని అరెస్టు చేసినట్లు ఎస్పీ తెలిపారు.

చిత్తూరు జిల్లా కుప్పం పురపాలక పరిధిలోని నారాయణపురానికి చెందిన తిమ్మరాయప్ప, అదే గ్రామానికి చెందిన మునికన్నప్ప వద్ద రూ.80 వేల అప్పు తీసుకున్నాడు. అప్పు చెల్లించలేక ఊరు వదిలిపెట్టగా, అతని భార్య శిరీష బెంగళూరులో కూలి పనులు చేస్తూ కుమారుడిని పోషిస్తోంది.
ఈ క్రమంలో సోమవారం శిరీష తన కుమారుడి టీసీ కోసం నారాయణపురం పాఠశాలకు వచ్చిన సందర్భంలో, మునికన్నప్ప కుటుంబ సభ్యులు ఆమెను వాదనకు దిగారు. అనంతరం ఆమెను చెట్టుకు కట్టి దాడి చేశారు. సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు ఘటనా స్థలానికి చేరుకుని మహిళను రక్షించారు. బాధితురాలి ఫిర్యాదు మేరకు కేసు నమోదు చేశారు.

Chittoor District – Kuppam:
A disturbing incident was reported in Kuppam, where a woman was tied to a tree and assaulted allegedly over her husband’s unpaid loan. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed strong displeasure over the incident and instructed the police to take strict action against those responsible.
The Chief Minister has already spoken to the District Superintendent of Police (SP) regarding the matter. The SP informed that one of the accused has already been arrested. The CM made it clear that violence against women will not be tolerated and ordered police to ensure such incidents are not repeated in the future.

Thimmarayappa, a resident of Narayanapuram under Kuppam Municipality in Chittoor district, had borrowed ₹80,000 from Munikannappa, a local man from the same area. Unable to repay the debt, Thimmarayappa reportedly left the village. His wife, Sirisha, has been living at her maternal home in Kenchanaballa, Shanthipuram Mandal, and working as a laborer in Bengaluru to support her child.
On Monday, Sirisha visited Narayanapuram school to collect her son’s Transfer Certificate (TC). At that point, Munikannappa, along with his wife Munemma, son Raja, and daughter-in-law Jagadeeshwari, confronted her. They demanded repayment of the loan and reportedly tied her to a tree and assaulted her.
Local residents alerted the police, who quickly responded and rescued the woman. A case has been registered based on her complaint, and investigation is underway.
