తెలంగాణలో ప్రజా ప్రభుత్వం క్రీడా రంగ అభివృద్ధికి తీసుకుంటున్న చర్యలను భారత క్రికెట్ జట్టు మాజీ కెప్టెన్ కపిల్ దేవ్ ప్రశంసించారు. ఢిల్లీలోని అధికారిక నివాసంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డిని కలిసిన కపిల్ దేవ్ పలు కీలక అంశాలపై చర్చించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి రాష్ట్రంలో ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్న యంగ్ ఇండియా స్పోర్ట్స్ యూనివర్శిటీకి సంబంధించిన ప్రణాళికలను వివరించారు. దక్షిణ కొరియా సహా ఇతర దేశాల్లోని క్రీడా యూనివర్సిటీలను ప్రభుత్వం పరిశీలించిందని, వాటి నమూనాలో తెలంగాణలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
కపిల్ దేవ్ మాట్లాడుతూ, తెలంగాణ క్రీడాభివృద్ధిలో భాగస్వామిగా ఉండేందుకు తాను సిద్ధమని స్పష్టం చేశారు. యువతకు సరైన సదుపాయాలు, శిక్షణ అందించేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకుంటున్న చర్యలు ప్రశంసనీయమని పేర్కొన్నారు.

During the meeting, the CM explained the government’s plan to set up the Young India Sports University in the state. He also highlighted the visits made to sports universities in countries like South Korea and how Telangana aims to adopt similar models for its youth.
Kapil Dev expressed his willingness to support the state’s sports development and said he was ready to contribute to the vision. He lauded the government’s initiatives in providing quality infrastructure and training opportunities to the next generation of sportspersons.
