ఎపిలో ప్రశ్నించే హక్కుకు భంగం కలుగుతోందని, పోలీసులు విపక్ష గొంతులను అణచివేస్తున్నారని జగన్ మండిపడ్డారు.

అమరావతిలో శుక్రవారం ట్వీట్ చేసిన వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ నేత జగన్ మోహన్ రెడ్డి, ప్రజాస్వామ్యంలో ప్రజలకు ప్రశ్నించే హక్కు ఉంటేనే ప్రభుత్వాలకు జవాబుదారితనముంటుందని అన్నారు. అయితే ఏపీలో చంద్రబాబు ప్రభుత్వంలో అసహన గళాలపై కేసులు పెడుతూ, పోలీసులతో వేధింపులకు పాల్పడుతున్నారని విమర్శించారు.

గుంటూరు మిర్చియార్డులో, పొదిలిలో రైతులను పరామర్శించేందుకు వెళ్లిన 15 మందిపై కేసులు పెట్టి అరెస్ట్ చేశారని, పల్నాడులో మృత ఎమ్మెల్యే నాగమల్లేశ్వరరావు కుటుంబాన్ని పరామర్శించేందుకు వెళ్లిన 131 మందికి నోటీసులు ఇచ్చారని తెలిపారు. ఒక యువకుడు సినిమా పోస్టర్ పెట్టినందుకు జైలుకి పంపడం, బంగారుపాళ్యంలో మామిడి రైతులను కలవడానికి వెళ్లిన కార్యకర్తలను అక్రమంగా ఇరికించడాన్ని జగన్ తక్కువచేయలేదు.

పోలీసులను ఉపయోగించి ప్రజాస్వామ్యాన్ని కదిలించటం సరికాదని ఆయన హెచ్చరించారు. ప్రభుత్వ వ్యతిరేక స్వరం ఎత్తిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరినీ టార్గెట్ చేయడం, పోలీస్ వ్యవస్థను వాడుకోవడం నిరంకుశ పాలనకు నిదర్శనమని అన్నారు.

In a strong tweet on Friday, YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy accused the TDP-led AP government of suppressing basic democratic rights by misusing the police to silence dissent.

He alleged that under CM Chandrababu Naidu’s regime, police cases are being filed arbitrarily against those trying to raise public issues. Jagan cited multiple examples including arrests of 15 people for visiting chilli and tobacco farmers in Guntur and Podili, and notices served to 131 for visiting the family of late MLA Nagamalleswara Rao in Palnadu. He condemned the jailing of a youth for displaying a movie poster and claimed that YSRCP workers were being harassed when attempting to meet mango farmers in Bangarupalem.

Jagan emphasized that suppressing the opposition using police force is dangerous to democracy and urged the public to recognize the erosion of their rights under the current administration.
