హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలో ఆహార భద్రతపై ఆందోళన కలిగించే ఘటన వెలుగులోకి వచ్చింది. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (జీహెచ్ఎంసీ) అధికారులు, పోలీసులతో కలిసి నిర్వహించిన తనిఖీల్లో భారీగా కుళ్లిపోయిన చికెన్ నిల్వ బయటపడింది. మొత్తం 800 కిలోల కోడి మాంసాన్ని స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు.
ముషీరాబాద్ పరిధిలోని పార్శిగుట్ట, బాపూజీనగర్ ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్న “ఏ 1 ఫ్రెష్ చికెన్ మార్ట్”పై దాడి చేసిన అధికారులు, నిల్వలో ఉన్న చికెన్ పూర్తిగా కుళ్లిపోయిందని గుర్తించారు. ఈ మాంసాన్ని నగరంలోని హోటళ్లు, రెస్టారెంట్లు, బార్లకు సరఫరా చేస్తున్నట్లు విచారణలో వెల్లడైంది.
ఈ దుకాణం యజమాని షేక్ షకీల్ పాడైపోయిన చికెన్ను విక్రయిస్తున్నాడని ముందస్తు సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు, వెంటనే తనిఖీలు చేపట్టారు. నిల్వ ప్రాంతం అత్యంత అపరిశుభ్రంగా ఉండటంతో పాటు, అక్కడ ఎలుకలు, పిల్లులు సంచరిస్తున్నట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. మాంసం నుంచి తీవ్రమైన దుర్వాసన వస్తోందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
దర్యాప్తులో మరో కీలక విషయం వెలుగులోకి వచ్చింది. ఆ దుకాణం ట్రేడింగ్ లైసెన్స్ గడువు ముగిసి ఏడాది దాటినా పునరుద్ధరించుకోకుండా అక్రమంగా వ్యాపారం కొనసాగిస్తున్నట్లు గుర్తించారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో యజమానిని అదుపులోకి తీసుకుని కేసు నమోదు చేసి మరింత లోతైన దర్యాప్తు కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు.

A serious violation of food safety norms has come to light in Hyderabad after authorities seized around 800 kilograms of spoiled chicken during a raid. The operation was carried out by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials in coordination with the police.
The raid took place in the Musheerabad area, specifically at Bapuji Nagar in Parsigutta, where a shop named “A1 Fresh Chicken Mart” was found storing large quantities of decomposed chicken. Officials confirmed that the meat had gone bad and was unfit for consumption.
Based on prior intelligence, police conducted inspections and found that the shop owner, identified as Shaik Shakeel, was allegedly selling spoiled chicken. The seized stock emitted a strong foul smell and was stored under highly unhygienic conditions. Authorities also reported the presence of rats and cats in the storage area, raising serious health concerns.
Further investigation revealed that the spoiled meat was being supplied to various hotels, restaurants, and bars across Hyderabad. This has triggered alarm among residents regarding the quality and safety of food served in eateries.
In another major violation, officials found that the shop’s trade license had expired over a year ago and had not been renewed. Despite this, the business was being run illegally. The owner has been taken into custody, and a detailed investigation is currently underway.
With rising chicken prices during the summer season, such illegal activities are posing a serious threat to public health. Citizens are now increasingly concerned about food hygiene standards in the city’s food establishments.
