Hyderabad CP CV Anand Visits Historic Ramgopalpet PS Ahead of Grand Reopening
రామ్‌గోపాల్‌పేట పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌ పునఃప్రారంభానికి సిద్ధం: చారిత్రక కట్టడాన్ని సందర్శించిన సీపీ ఆనంద్‌
హైదరాబాద్ – హైదరాబాద్ పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ మరియు డీజీపీ శ్రీ సీ.వి. ఆనంద్‌ ఐపీఎస్‌ గారు ఈరోజు సికింద్రాబాద్‌లో జేమ్స్ స్ట్రీట్‌లో ఉన్న చారిత్రక రామ్‌గోపాల్‌పేట పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌ను సందర్శించారు. ఈ భవనాన్ని హెచ్ఎండిఎ మరమ్మతులు నిర్వహించి సిటీ పోలీసులకు అప్పగించింది.
1900లో నిర్మితమైన ఈ భవనం, 2016 వరకు 116 సంవత్సరాలు పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌గా ఉపయోగించబడింది. నూతనంగా మరమ్మతులు చేసిన ఈ భవనంలో త్వరలో మళ్లీ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌ను ప్రారంభించనున్నట్లు ఆయన తెలిపారు. పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌కు సంబంధించిన వస్తువులు భవనంలోకి తరలించి, ప్రారంభోత్సవాన్ని జిల్లా ఇంచార్జ్ మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ చేతుల మీదుగా నిర్వహిస్తామని పేర్కొన్నారు.
వాహనాల సంఖ్య పెరగడంతో, పార్కింగ్ సదుపాయాల కోసం కూడా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నట్లు చెప్పారు. చారిత్రక కట్టడాలను భవిష్యత్ తరాల కోసం కాపాడుకోవాలని కమిషనర్ పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
పురాణి హవేలీలోని పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ కార్యాలయం మరమ్మతులు పూర్తయిన అనంతరం ప్రతి శుక్రవారం అక్కడి నుంచే విధులు నిర్వహిస్తానని తెలిపారు.
Historic Ramgopalpet Police Station to Reopen Soon: Hyderabad CP CV Anand Visits Restored Building
Hyderabad – Hyderabad Police Commissioner and DGP Sri C.V. Anand, IPS, today visited the heritage Ramgopalpet Police Station building located at James Street, Secunderabad. He stated that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) had completed its renovation and handed it back to Hyderabad City Police.
Built in 1900, the structure served as Ramgopalpet Police Station for 116 years until 2016. Due to its deteriorating condition, the station was shifted to a rented building at Minister Road nine years ago. CP Anand reminisced about conducting many programs from the heritage premises during his tenure as DCP, Central Zone, and called the building historically significant.
In a few days, equipment and operations of Ramgopalpet PS will be shifted back to the restored building, and it will be officially reopened by Hyderabad District In-charge Minister Sri Ponnam Prabhakar. However, Anand noted the increased number of police vehicles and the current efforts to arrange for adequate parking facilities.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of preserving such heritage structures for future generations and mentioned that renovation works of the iconic Purani Haveli Commissioner’s Office have been ongoing for three years and will also reopen soon. Post its inauguration, he plans to operate from there every Friday.
IPS officers Ms. S. Rashmi Perumal (DCP, North Zone), Mr. Rahul Hegde (DCP, Traffic), and other senior officials were present at the visit.
