BRS leaders believe that retaining political strength in Greater Hyderabad is crucial for long-term electoral prospects. The party views the upcoming GHMC and other municipal corporation elections as strategically significant, especially with nearly one-third of Assembly segments falling within the Greater Hyderabad limits.

గ్రేటర్పై పట్టు కోల్పోతే మళ్లీ అధికారంలోకి రావడం కష్టమనే అభిప్రాయం వ్యక్తమవుతోంది. అందుకే క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో బలపడేలా నాయకులకు సూచనలు జారీ చేసినట్లు సమాచారం. త్వరలోనే ఇంచార్జ్ల నియామకం చేసి, ప్రజల్లోకి వెళ్లే కార్యక్రమాలను వేగవంతం చేయాలని యోచిస్తున్నారు.
In the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, BRS secured a majority of seats within the GHMC limits, winning 15 out of 24 constituencies. However, subsequent bypolls in Secunderabad Cantonment and Jubilee Hills went in favour of Congress. Despite political shifts, BRS currently retains a significant presence in the Greater region.
2016 GHMC elections saw BRS winning 99 out of 150 divisions, while in 2020 it secured 56 corporator seats and formed the mayoral leadership with support from AIMIM. Party leaders now estimate favourable prospects in the upcoming civic polls, particularly in Cyberabad and Malkajgiri regions.
