Driving tractors with cage wheels on public roads will attract legal action: Siddipet Police Commissioner warns
ప్రజల ప్రయాణ భద్రతను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని ట్రాక్టర్ యజమానులు కేజ్ వీల్స్‌తో రోడ్లపైకి రావద్దని, లఘు అవగాహనతో ఇలా చేస్తే చట్టపరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాల్సి వస్తుందని సిద్దిపేట పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ డాక్టర్ బి. అనురాధ హెచ్చరించారు.
To ensure road safety for the public, Siddipet Police Commissioner Dr. B. Anuradha warned that tractor owners should not drive vehicles fitted with cage wheels on public roads. If violated, strict legal action will be taken under the Motor Vehicles Act.
సిద్దిపేటలో పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ డాక్టర్ బి. అనురాధ మాట్లాడుతూ, “ప్రభుత్వం ప్రజల సౌకర్యార్థం భారీగా ఖర్చు చేసి బీటీ మరియు సీసీ రోడ్లను నిర్మిస్తోంది. ట్రాక్టర్ కేజ్ వీల్స్‌తో రోడ్లపై నడిపితే, ఆ రోడ్లు దెబ్బతిని ప్రమాదాలకు దారితీయవచ్చు. అందుకే బాధ్యతాయుతంగా వ్యవహరించి, కేజ్ వీల్స్ ఉన్న ట్రాక్టర్లను పొలాల్లోకి మోసుకెళ్లేటప్పుడు రోడ్లపై నడపకుండా జాగ్రత్తపడాలి” అని సూచించారు.
She stated that the government has spent crores to construct high-quality BT and CC roads for the public’s convenience. However, tractors fitted with cage wheels are damaging these roads, increasing the chances of accidents. Hence, tractor owners must act responsibly and avoid driving such vehicles on roads.
“ఇలా రోడ్లపై నడిపే వారు కనిపిస్తే వెంటనే డయల్ 100 కు ఫిర్యాదు చేయాలని ప్రజలకు విజ్ఞప్తి చేస్తున్నాం. ట్రాక్టర్ కేజ్ వీల్స్‌తో రోడ్లపైకి వస్తే మోటారు వాహన చట్టం ప్రకారం చట్టపరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటాం. ట్రాక్టర్ యజమానులు తమ ట్రాలీలలో కేజ్ వీల్స్‌ను తీసుకెళ్లి అక్కడ పెట్టి వ్యవసాయ పనులు చేసుకోవాలి,” అని ఆమె తెలిపారు.
She urged the public to call Dial 100 immediately if they notice tractors with cage wheels on the roads. Legal action will be initiated as per the Motor Vehicles Act. Tractor owners are advised to carry cage wheels in their trailers and fit them only after reaching agricultural fields.Siddipet Police Commissioner Dr. B. Anuradha issued a strong warning to tractor owners who use cage wheels (iron rims for agricultural work) on public roads. She stated that such vehicles are causing severe damage to BT (bitumen) and CC (cement concrete) roads, which are constructed with crores of rupees from public funds.
She said:
“Tractor cage wheels are meant only for agricultural fields. Using them on public roads weakens the road surface, leads to potholes, and increases the risk of road accidents. This is a punishable offence under the Motor Vehicles Act.”
She appealed to the public to act responsibly and protect public infrastructure.
“If anyone notices tractors with cage wheels moving on roads, they should immediately Dial 100 and report it to the police,” she added.
The police department has also asked tractor owners to transport cage wheels separately in trailers and not use them while driving on roads. This will not only prevent accidents but also save taxpayer money by reducing road repair costs.
