చేర్యాల ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రిని అకస్మాత్తుగా తనిఖీ చేసిన కలెక్టర్ కె.హేమావతి, రిజిస్టర్ల నిర్వహణ సరిగా లేదని సిబ్బందిపై ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేస్తూ తగిన సూచనలు ఇచ్చారు.

చేర్యాల కమ్యూనిటీ హెల్త్ సెంటర్‌ను జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ కె.హేమావతి అకస్మాత్తుగా తనిఖీ చేశారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా హాట్ అటెండెన్స్ రిజిస్టర్, ఔట్ పేషెంట్, ఇన్ పేషెంట్, మెడిసిన్ స్టాక్ రిజిస్టర్లను పరిశీలించారు. వాటి నిర్వహణ సరిగా లేదని గుర్తించి సిబ్బందిపై ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. రిజిస్టర్ల నిర్వహణ బాగోలేకపోతే చర్యలు తప్పవని ఆమె హెచ్చరించారు.
డెంగ్యూ కేసులపై పూర్తి సమాచారం కోరిన కలెక్టర్, వర్షాకాలం వ్యాధులు వ్యాపించకుండా సిబ్బంది అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని సూచించారు. ఆసుపత్రికి వచ్చిన ప్రసవ కేసులను ప్రైవేట్ ఆసుపత్రులకు రిఫర్ చేయకుండా ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రిలోనే సేవలు అందించాలన్నారు. పరిశుభ్రత పాటించడం, రోగులకు వ్యాధి వివరాలు చెప్పి చికిత్స చేయడం తప్పనిసరి అని ఆమె స్పష్టం చేశారు.
వర్షాకాలంలో కలుషితమైన నీరు వల్ల వ్యాధులు రావొచ్చని, అందువల్ల వేడి చేసి చల్లార్చిన నీటినే తాగాలని సూచించారు. ప్రజలు వేడి ఆహారాన్ని తీసుకోవాలని, ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రిలో అందుబాటులో ఉన్న వైద్య సేవలను వినియోగించుకోవాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
తరువాత నూతనంగా నిర్మించిన ఆసుపత్రి భవనాన్ని పరిశీలించిన కలెక్టర్, మెయిన్ రోడ్ నుండి ఆసుపత్రి వరకు అప్రోచ్ రోడ్డు, ఆసుపత్రి ఆవరణలో అంతర్గత రహదారులు నిర్మించాలని ఆదేశించారు. అలాగే పాత భవనంలోని పరికరాలను కొత్త భవనానికి మార్చి సేవలు ప్రారంభించేలా చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని సూచించారు.
ఈ తనిఖీ కార్యక్రమంలో వైద్యులు దామోదర్, చేర్యాల తహసీల్దార్ దిలీప్ కుమార్, మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ నాగేందర్ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

District Collector K. Hemavathi conducted a surprise inspection of the Cheriyal Community Health Centre. She examined the hot attendance register, outpatient and inpatient records, and the medicine stock register. Noticing that the registers were not maintained properly, she expressed serious dissatisfaction and warned the hospital staff that disciplinary action would be taken if proper record-keeping is not ensured.
She inquired about the number of dengue cases reported, availability of medicines in the hospital, and staff attendance. She directed the medical staff to remain alert and ensure that seasonal diseases do not spread during the monsoon. She strictly instructed not to refer delivery cases to private hospitals and to handle them within the government facility itself. She also emphasized maintaining hospital cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
The Collector interacted with patients to assess whether doctors were providing proper treatment. She cautioned that contaminated drinking water during the rainy season could lead to disease outbreaks and advised the public to consume only boiled and cooled water. Further, she instructed doctors to explain the illness and its causes clearly to patients before treatment.
Speaking to the media during the inspection, Collector Hemavathi said monsoon diseases spread rapidly, so people should be cautious, eat freshly cooked food, and drink boiled water. She also assured that all medical services are fully available at the Cheriyal Government Hospital and encouraged people to utilize government healthcare facilities.
Later, she visited the newly constructed government hospital building. Since the construction was completed, she instructed officials to construct an approach road from the main road to the hospital and internal roads within the premises. She also ordered that existing hospital equipment be shifted to the new building so that services could begin there immediately.
Doctors Damodar, Cheriyal Tahsildar Dilip Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Nagender, and others participated in the inspection.
