మాజీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి జగన్ పులివెందుల, ఒంటిమిట్ట జడ్పీటీసీ ఉపఎన్నికలలో జరిగిన పోలింగ్ తీరుపై తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో స్పందించారు. ఆయన ఈ ఎన్నికలు రాష్ట్రంలో ప్రజాస్వామ్యం క్షీణించిన తీరుకు ప్రత్యక్ష నిదర్శనమని పేర్కొన్నారు.
YSRCP అధినేత జగన్ పులివెందుల, ఒంటిమిట్ట మండలాల్లో పోలింగ్ ప్రక్రియలో విస్తృతమైన అక్రమాలు జరిగాయని ఆరోపించారు. ఏజెంట్లను బూత్లకు అనుమతించకపోవడం, రిగ్గింగ్, ఓటర్లను అడ్డుకోవడం వంటి చర్యలు చోటుచేసుకున్నాయని అన్నారు. పోలింగ్ కేంద్రాలు మార్చడం, ఓటర్లను భయపెట్టడం, ఇతర ప్రాంతాల నుండి రౌడీలను తరలించడం, కలెక్టర్ సమక్షంలోనే దొంగ ఓట్లు వేయడం వంటి సంఘటనలు ప్రజాస్వామ్యాన్ని అవమానపరిచాయని విమర్శించారు.
జగన్, 2017 నంద్యాల ఉపఎన్నికల సమయంలోనూ ఇలాగే అరాచకాలు జరిగాయని, చివరికి టీడీపీ పార్టీని భూస్థాపితం చేశామని గుర్తుచేశారు. వచ్చే మూడేళ్లలో టీడీపీకి డిపాజిట్లు కూడా రావని అన్నారు. ప్రజాస్వామ్యాన్ని కాపాడకపోతే తీవ్ర పరిణామాలు వస్తాయని హెచ్చరించారు. తక్షణమే ఈ రెండు ఎన్నికలను రద్దు చేసి, నిష్పక్షపాతంగా మళ్లీ నిర్వహించాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. చంద్రబాబు ఇలాంటి అక్రమాలకు పాల్పడితే రాజకీయ భవిష్యత్తు ముగుస్తుందని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
BRS leader and MLC Kadiyam Srihari accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of misleading the public with his statements on the Dummugudem project. Speaking to the media in Hanamkonda, he alleged that the CM was twisting facts about irrigation to gain political mileage.
Srihari said delays in projects like Dummugudem were due to central approvals and inter-state disputes, not because of negligence by the previous BRS government. He claimed Revanth Reddy was creating confusion among the people with baseless accusations.
He added that the people of Telangana are aware of the BRS government’s efforts to protect the state’s irrigation interests, and alleged that the Congress government was ignoring real irrigation issues while engaging in political blame games.
