బిహార్లోని ఔరంగాబాద్ జిల్లాలో సంచలనం రేపిన ఈ ఘటనను గుంజా దేవి అనే 20 ఏళ్ల యువతి తన అధికారికంగా వివాహమైన భర్తను హత్య చేయించి దేశవ్యాప్తంగా షాక్కు గురిచేసింది. తన మేనమామతో అక్రమ సంబంధం కొనసాగించాలన్న ఉద్దేశంతో, పెళ్లైన 45 రోజుల్లోనే భర్త ప్రియాంషును చంపించాలని పథకం వేసి, ఇద్దరు సుపారీ కిల్లర్లను ఉపయోగించి హత్య చేయించింది. ఈ దారుణ ఘటనపై కేసు నమోదు చేసిన పోలీసులు గుంజా దేవితో పాటు మరో ముగ్గురిని అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. ఆమె మామ జీవన్ సింగ్ ప్రస్తుతం పరారీలో ఉన్నాడు.
This shocking incident unfolded in Bihar’s Aurangabad district, where a newly married woman, Gunja Devi (20), conspired to eliminate her husband Priyanshu (24) barely 45 days after their marriage. The motive behind the crime: her ongoing illicit relationship with her maternal uncle Jeevan Singh (55), whom she originally wanted to marry. When the families opposed their union and forcibly arranged her marriage with Priyanshu, she plotted his murder with the help of two contract killers. The police arrested Gunja Devi and three others, while her uncle Jeevan Singh remains absconding.
పోలీసుల దర్యాప్తులో కథ ఇలా: జూన్ 25న ప్రియాంషు తన సోదరి ఇంటి నుంచి తిరిగి వస్తుండగా గుంజా దేవికి కాల్ చేసి బైక్ పంపమన్నాడు. అప్పటికే ఆమె రెండు సుపారీ కిల్లర్లను ఏర్పాటు చేసింది. ప్రయాణంలోనే, నవీ నగర్ సమీపంలో ఇద్దరు దుండగులు అతడిపై కాల్పులు జరిపి అక్కడికక్కడే హతమార్చారు.
Following the FIR lodged by Priyanshu’s family, police began investigating and found suspicious call records between Gunja Devi and her uncle. Further checks revealed that Jeevan Singh was in frequent contact with the shooters. The case mirrors past incidents of “honeymoon murders” that have shocked India, such as those in Meghalaya, Telangana, and Gadwal, where extramarital affairs led to brutal spousal killings.
