AI-171 అనే విమాన నెంబర్‌ను ఇకపై ఉపయోగించబోమని, దాని స్థానంలో AI-159 నంబర్‌ను ప్రవేశపెడుతున్నట్లు సంస్థ ప్రకటించింది. ఇది అహ్మదాబాద్-లండన్ మధ్య సేవలందించనుంది.
విమాన ప్రమాదంలో ఇప్పటివరకు మృతుల సంఖ్య 270కు చేరుకుందని వైద్యులు తెలిపారు. గురువారం మధ్యాహ్నం అహ్మదాబాద్ విమానాశ్రయం నుండి బయలుదేరిన AI-171 విమానం, కొన్ని నిమిషాల్లోనే BJ మెడికల్ హాస్టల్ భవనాన్ని ఢీకొనడంతో ఈ విషాద ఘటన చోటుచేసుకుంది.

Following the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, Air India has taken a significant decision by retiring the AI-171 flight number, citing respect for the victims. The airline announced that flight services between Ahmedabad and London will now operate under the new number AI-159.
According to medical authorities, the death toll has risen to 270. The Air India flight AI-171, which departed from Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon bound for Gatwick Airport, crashed into the BJ Medical Hostel building minutes after takeoff, resulting in massive loss of life.
Air India expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and said this change of flight number is a mark of tribute to the deceased.
