ఫీజు రీయింబర్స్‌మెంట్ స్కీంను ఎత్తివేయడానికి ట్రస్ట్ బ్యాంక్‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలన్న ప్రభుత్వ యోజనను తక్షణమే వెనక్కి తీసుకోవాలని బీసీ సంక్షేమ సంఘం జాతీయ అధ్యక్షుడు, రాజ్యసభ సభ్యుడు ఆర్. కృష్ణయ్య డిమాండ్ చేశారు. ఇందిరాపార్క్ వద్ద వేలాదిమంది విద్యార్థులతో భారీ ర్యాలీ నిర్వహించి తమ డిమాండ్లు వెల్లడించారు.
The government must withdraw its plan to establish a “Trust Bank” that indirectly aims to cancel the fee reimbursement scheme, demanded BC Welfare Association national president and Rajya Sabha MP R. Krishnaiah. He led a massive student rally at Indira Park, stressing their demands.

హైదరాబాద్, ఆగస్ట్‌ 1: రాష్ట్రంలోని 14 లక్షల మంది కాలేజీ విద్యార్థుల ఫీజు బకాయిలు ₹6000 కోట్లకు పైగానే ఉన్నాయని, వాటిని వెంటనే చెల్లించాలని డిమాండ్ చేస్తూ ఆర్. కృష్ణయ్య శుక్రవారం దీక్ష చేపట్టారు. బీసీ విద్యార్థి సంఘం రాష్ట్ర అధ్యక్షుడు వేముల రామకృష్ణ నేతృత్వంలో జరిగిన ఈ ర్యాలీలో విద్యార్థులు భారీగా పాల్గొన్నారు.
Krishnaiah stated that over ₹6000 crore in scholarship arrears for 14 lakh students remain unpaid, and called for immediate settlement. The protest, led by BC Student Union State President Vemula Ramakrishna, witnessed a massive turnout.
ఆర్. కృష్ణయ్య మాట్లాడుతూ… 100 బీసీ హాస్టళ్లను మంజూరు చేయాలని, 119 బీసీ గురుకుల పాఠశాలలను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని, బీసీ గురుకులాల్లో 20% సీట్లు పెంచాలని పేర్కొన్నారు. స్కాలర్షిప్ స్కీమును ప్రభుత్వం నిర్లక్ష్యంగా వ్యవహరిస్తోందని, ఇది రాజ్యాంగబద్ధ హక్కును హరిస్తోందని విమర్శించారు. విద్య పథకాల అమలుకు ఏటా నాలుగు శాఖల ద్వారా రూ.5000 కోట్లు కేటాయించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని, కానీ ఒక్క రూపాయి కూడా ప్రభుత్వం విడుదల చేయలేదని ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
He demanded approval for 100 BC hostels, establishment of 119 BC residential schools, and a 20% seat increase in existing institutions. He slammed the government for neglecting constitutionally backed schemes and failing to release even ₹1 out of the ₹5000 crore required annually through four departments.
కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీలకు వేరు కోట్ల రూపాయలు ఇస్తోందని, కానీ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం వాటి వినియోగంపై స్పష్టత ఇవ్వడంలేదని పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల ఉదాహరణగా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లో రెండు విడతలుగా రూ.1500 కోట్లు విడుదల చేశారని గుర్తు చేశారు. తెలంగాణలో విద్యార్థుల భవిష్యత్తుతో ఆటలాడితే తీవ్ర పరిణామాలు ఉంటాయని హెచ్చరించారు.
He pointed out that while the central government allocates significant funds for SC/ST students, the Telangana government has not clarified its use. Referring to Andhra Pradesh’s release of ₹1500 crore in two phases, he warned that playing with students’ futures would have serious consequences.
ట్రస్ట్ బ్యాంక్ పెట్టి స్కీమ్‌ను అడ్డుకోవడం వల్ల గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల పిల్లలు, కూలీల పిల్లలు మెడిసిన్‌, ఇంజనీరింగ్‌, డిగ్రీలు చదవలేని పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడుతుందని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఈ పథకంతో గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో గుణాత్మకమైన మార్పు వచ్చినప్పటికీ, దానిని వెనక్కి తీసుకురావడం అన్యాయమని తెలిపారు. చైల్డ్ లేబర్ తగ్గిందని, ఉన్నత విద్యకు అందరికీ అవకాశం లభిస్తోందని చెప్పారు.
Krishnaiah criticized the Trust Bank model, saying it would prevent children from rural and laborer families from pursuing higher education like medicine or engineering. He said the scheme had brought positive change and reduced child labor, making quality education accessible — and blocking it now is unjust.

CPI leader K. Narayana, MLC Dasoju Sravan, and several other BC leaders including Gujja Satyam, Vakulabharanam Krishnamohan Rao, Neel Venkatesh, and Pagudala Sudhakar took part in the protest.
