సూర్యాపేట జిల్లాలో మేళ్లచెరువు మండలంలోని రామాపురంలో కల్తీ మద్యం తయారీలో నిమగ్నమైన ముఠా ఒకటి ఎక్సైజ్ టాస్క్ ఫోర్స్ దాడిలో బోయి పడింది. రాంపురానికి చెందిన తోట శివశంకర్ అనే వ్యక్తి, సూర్యప్రకాశ్ అనే వ్యక్తి ఇంటి షెడ్‌లో కల్తీ మద్యం తయారీకి ప్లాన్ వేసినట్టు గుర్తించారు. దాదాపు 832 లీటర్ల స్పిరిట్‌ను నిల్వ ఉంచిన వారు, ఖాళీ బాటిళ్లలో నకిలీ లేబుళ్లు అతికించి మద్యం తయారీ చేసేవారు. విశ్వసనీయ సమాచారం మేరకు, హైదరాబాద్ ఎక్సైజ్ టాస్క్ ఫోర్స్ సూపరిండెంట్ అంజి రెడ్డి నేతృత్వంలో హుజూర్నగర్ ఎక్సైజ్ స్టేషన్ సిబ్బంది తో కలసి రామాపురంలో సంయుక్త దాడులు నిర్వహించారు. ఈ దాడుల్లో మొత్తం 832 లీటర్ల స్పిరిట్, 38 కాటన్లు (326 లీటర్లు) నకిలీ MC విస్కీ బాటిళ్లు, లేబుళ్లు, ఎక్సైజ్ హీల్స్‌ స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు.

A fake liquor manufacturing racket operating in a shed at Ramapuram village in Mellacheruvu mandal of Suryapet district was busted by the State Excise Task Force. The accused, identified as Thota Shiva Shankar of Ramapuram, along with a person named Suryaprakash, had stocked around 832 litres of spirit in a residential shed. They were found filling empty bottles with spirit, sealing them with caps, and affixing counterfeit labels to sell them as branded liquor.
Acting on credible information, a joint operation was carried out by the Hyderabad Excise Task Force under the supervision of Superintendent Anji Reddy, along with the Huzurnagar Excise Station staff. During the raid, the authorities seized 832 litres of spirit, 38 cartons (totaling 326 litres) of bottled fake MC whisky, along with fake labels and excise seals. The operation successfully dismantled the illegal liquor unit before the counterfeit products could be circulated into the market.
