ఖమ్మం: పాలేరు నియోజకవర్గంలో ‘మా ఇందిరమ్మ ఇంట్లో దీపావళి’ కార్యక్రమం ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు. రాష్ట్ర రెవెన్యూ, గృహ నిర్మాణ శాఖ మంత్రి పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాస రెడ్డి ఖమ్మం రూరల్, నేలకొండపల్లి, కూసుమంచి మండలాల్లో పర్యటించి ఇందిరమ్మ ఇళ్ల లబ్ధిదారుల కుటుంబాలతో కలిసి దీపావళి వేడుకల్లో పాల్గొన్నారు.

దీపావళి పర్వదినాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని పలు గ్రామాల్లోని ఇందిరమ్మ ఇళ్ల వద్ద నిర్వహించిన కార్యక్రమాల్లో మంత్రి పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా నూతనంగా నిర్మించుకున్న ఇళ్లలోకి లబ్ధిదారులైన మహిళలతో గృహప్రవేశాలు చేయించారు.

గృహప్రవేశాలు పూర్తి చేసుకున్న కుటుంబ సభ్యులతో కలిసి దీపావళి సంబరాలు జరుపుకున్నారు. లబ్ధిదారులతో ఆత్మీయంగా ముచ్చటించి వారితో సెల్ఫీ ఫొటోలు దిగారు.

దశాబ్దాలుగా సొంతింటి కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తున్న పేద కుటుంబాల కల నెరవేరడం తనకు ఎంతో ఆనందాన్ని ఇచ్చిందని పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాస రెడ్డి పేర్కొన్నారు. కొత్త ఇళ్లలో కుటుంబ సభ్యుల ముఖాల్లో కనిపించిన ఆనందం, ఆత్మీయత, వారి ఆనందభాష్పాలు ఎప్పటికీ మరిచిపోలేని జ్ఞాపకాలుగా నిలిచిపోతాయని తెలిపారు.

గృహ నిర్మాణ శాఖ మంత్రిగా పేదల సొంతింటి కలను సాకారం చేయడంలో భాగస్వామి కావడం తనకు ఎంతో ఆత్మసంతృప్తిని ఇచ్చిందని పేర్కొన్నారు. పేదల ఇళ్లలో నిజమైన పండుగ వాతావరణం కనిపించడమే ప్రజా పాలనకు అర్థమని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా రాష్ట్ర ప్రజలందరికీ దీపావళి శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలిపారు.

Khammam: The ‘Maa Indiramma Intlo Deepavali’ celebrations were held across the Palair Assembly constituency, with Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy participating in the festivities alongside beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme.

The minister visited several villages in Khammam Rural, Nelakondapalli and Kusumanchi mandals and took part in Diwali celebrations organised at newly constructed Indiramma houses.

During the programme, he facilitated housewarming ceremonies for women beneficiaries entering their new homes. He also celebrated Diwali with their families and interacted with beneficiaries, taking selfies with them.

Ponguleti said the occasion was particularly memorable as the long-cherished dream of owning a house had come true for several poor families after decades of waiting and hardship.

He said the happiness, affection and emotional moments shared by the families in their new homes would remain unforgettable memories.

The minister added that, as the minister responsible for the Housing Department, helping fulfil the dream of owning a house for poor families gave him immense personal satisfaction.

He described the celebrations in the homes of beneficiaries as a meaningful reflection of people’s governance and extended Diwali greetings to the people of Telangana.
