BRS Working President KTR has strongly condemned the arrest of BRS leader Doodimetla Balaraju Yadav, questioning the government’s action against a political leader for raising questions over allegations made by Congress leaders and government representatives.
In a statement shared through his official social media account, KTR said political criticism should be answered politically rather than through police cases. He questioned the arrest of Balaraju Yadav for challenging what he described as baseless allegations made by Congress leaders.
KTR also criticised the manner in which Balaraju Yadav was allegedly taken around the city following his arrest, stating that the incident had caused fear and distress among his family members.
He alleged that cases were being used to suppress the voices of BRS leaders and asserted that such actions would not silence the opposition.
Demanding immediate action, KTR called upon the government to withdraw the case against Doodimetla Balaraju Yadav and release him unconditionally.
Emphasising the importance of democratic rights, KTR stated that the right to question those in power cannot be suppressed in a democracy.
