హైదరాబాద్: తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం చేపడుతున్న అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాల్లో ఆగా ఖాన్ ఫౌండేషన్ ద్వారా మరింత సహకారం అందించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. తెలంగాణలో విద్య, పర్యాటకం, వైద్య రంగాల్లో కలిసి పనిచేయాలని ఆయన కోరారు.
భారత పర్యటనలో ఉన్న ఆగా ఖాన్ ఫౌండేషన్ చైర్మన్ హిజ్ హైనెస్ ప్రిన్స్ రహీమ్ ఆగా ఖాన్-V హైదరాబాద్ వచ్చిన సందర్భంగా సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఆయనతో మర్యాదపూర్వకంగా సమావేశమయ్యారు. తాజ్ ఫలక్నుమా ప్యాలెస్లో ఈ సమావేశం జరిగింది.
ఈ సందర్భంగా తెలంగాణలో ఆగా ఖాన్ ఫౌండేషన్ చేపట్టిన అభివృద్ధి, వారసత్వ పరిరక్షణ కార్యక్రమాలను సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గుర్తుచేశారు. ఆగా ఖాన్ ఫౌండేషన్పై తనకు అత్యంత గౌరవం ఉందని పేర్కొంటూ, హైదరాబాద్తో ఆగా ఖాన్ కుటుంబానికి ఉన్న అనుబంధాన్ని ప్రస్తావించారు.
తెలంగాణ వారసత్వ సంపద పునరుద్ధరణలో ఫౌండేషన్ కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తోందని సీఎం తెలిపారు. ఫౌండేషన్ సహకారంతో శాసనమండలి భవనాన్ని పునరుద్ధరించడంతో పాటు నగరంలోని కుతుబ్ షాహీ టూంబ్స్ను కూడా పునరుద్ధరించిన విషయాన్ని ఆయన గుర్తుచేశారు.
హైదరాబాద్ నగర పునర్నిర్మాణంలో భాగంగా చేపడుతున్న మూసీ నది పునరుజ్జీవన ప్రాజెక్టు ప్రణాళికలను సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వివరించారు. మూసీ నది వెంట నైట్ ఎకానమీ కార్యకలాపాలను అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
మూసీ పరివాహక ప్రాంతంలోని చారిత్రక సిటీ కాలేజ్, ఉస్మానియా ఆసుపత్రి భవనాల పునరుద్ధరణలో ఆగా ఖాన్ ఫౌండేషన్ సహకరించాలని సీఎం కోరారు. ఉస్మానియా ఆసుపత్రి కోసం గోషామహల్లో కొత్త భవనాన్ని నిర్మిస్తున్నామని, ప్రస్తుత ఉస్మానియా ఆసుపత్రి భవనాన్ని వారసత్వ సంపదగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తున్నట్లు వివరించారు.
డిసెంబర్ 7 నుంచి 9 వరకు మూడు రోజుల పాటు భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీలో నిర్వహించనున్న ఇన్వెస్ట్ తెలంగాణ గ్లోబల్ సమ్మిట్కు ప్రిన్స్ రహీమ్ ఆగా ఖాన్-Vను సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఆహ్వానించారు. ఈ సమ్మిట్కు 100కు పైగా దేశాల నుంచి ప్రతినిధులు హాజరవుతారని తెలిపారు.
ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ నిర్మాణంపై ప్రిన్స్ ఆగా ఖాన్-V ఆసక్తి కనబరిచి దాని ప్రాధాన్యతను అడిగి తెలుసుకున్నారు. 30 వేల ఎకరాల్లో అత్యాధునిక సదుపాయాలతో ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీని అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్నామని, అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయానికి 20 నిమిషాల దూరంలో నిర్మిస్తున్న ఈ నగరం పూర్తిగా నెట్-జీరో సిటీగా ఉండబోతోందని సీఎం వివరించారు.
సింగపూర్కు చెందిన సంస్థ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ మాస్టర్ ప్లాన్ను రూపొందిస్తోందని, ఇందులో దాదాపు 15 వేల ఎకరాల్లో గ్రీన్ జోన్ను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నట్లు సీఎం తెలిపారు. అమెజాన్ వంటి సంస్థలు ఇప్పటికే ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీలో తమ కార్యకలాపాలను ప్రారంభించాయని గుర్తుచేశారు.
2047 నాటికి దేశ జీడీపీలో తెలంగాణ వాటాను 10 శాతానికి పెంచే లక్ష్యంతో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం పనిచేస్తోందని సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వివరించారు.
ఇటీవల బ్రిటన్, అమెరికా పర్యటనల్లో ప్రపంచస్థాయి యూనివర్సిటీలతో తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం చేసుకున్న ఒప్పందాల గురించి సీఎం సలహాదారు కె. రామకృష్ణారావు ప్రిన్స్ రహీమ్ ఆగా ఖాన్-Vకు వివరించారు. హార్వర్డ్ యూనివర్సిటీ, లండన్ స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ బిజినెస్తో పాటు ఇతర యూనివర్సిటీలు హైదరాబాద్లో కార్యకలాపాలు ప్రారంభించేందుకు అంగీకరించాయని తెలిపారు.
ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీలో ఆగా ఖాన్ యూనివర్సిటీని ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని రాష్ట్ర విద్యాశాఖ ప్రిన్సిపల్ సెక్రటరీ యోగితా రాణా కోరారు. పర్యాటక రంగంలో ఆగా ఖాన్ ఫౌండేషన్ పాత్రను స్పెషల్ చీఫ్ సెక్రటరీ వాణీ ప్రసాద్ గుర్తుచేస్తూ భవిష్యత్తులో మరింత సహకారం అందించాలని కోరారు.
సమావేశంలో మంత్రి మహమ్మద్ అజారుద్దీన్, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి సంజయ్ జాజు, ఉన్నతాధికారులు, ఆగా ఖాన్ ఫౌండేషన్ ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has sought greater support from the Aga Khan Foundation for the development initiatives being undertaken by the Telangana government. He proposed collaboration with the foundation in the fields of education, tourism and healthcare.
CM Revanth Reddy met His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, Chairman of the Aga Khan Foundation, during the latter’s visit to Hyderabad as part of his India tour. The meeting was held at the Taj Falaknuma Palace.
During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy recalled the development and heritage conservation initiatives undertaken by the Aga Khan Foundation in Telangana. He expressed his high regard for the foundation and highlighted the long-standing association of the Aga Khan family with Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister said the foundation had played a significant role in restoring Telangana’s heritage. He recalled the restoration of the Legislative Council building with the foundation’s support as well as the restoration of the Qutb Shahi Tombs in Hyderabad.
CM Revanth Reddy also explained the plans being prepared for the rejuvenation of the Musi River as part of the redevelopment of Hyderabad. He said the government was working towards developing night-economy activities along the Musi River.
The Chief Minister sought the foundation’s cooperation in restoring the historic City College and Osmania Hospital buildings located along the Musi riverfront. He explained that a new Osmania Hospital building was being constructed at Goshamahal and that the existing hospital building was proposed to be developed as a heritage structure.
CM Revanth Reddy invited Prince Rahim Aga Khan V to attend the Invest Telangana Global Summit, which will be held for three days from December 7 to 9 at Bharat Future City. He said representatives from more than 100 countries were expected to attend the summit.
Prince Aga Khan V expressed interest in the development of Future City and enquired about its significance. CM Revanth Reddy explained that Future City was being developed across 30,000 acres with advanced infrastructure and facilities.
The Chief Minister said Future City would be located about 20 minutes from the international airport and would be developed as a net-zero city. A Singapore-based company is preparing the master plan, with around 15,000 acres proposed as a green zone, he said.
CM Revanth Reddy also highlighted the presence of companies such as Amazon in Future City and said the Telangana government was working with the goal of increasing the state’s contribution to India’s GDP to 10 per cent by 2047.
Chief Minister’s Adviser K. Ramakrishna Rao briefed Prince Rahim Aga Khan V about agreements signed by the Telangana government with leading global universities during its recent visits to Britain and the United States.
He said Harvard University, London Business School and other universities had agreed to begin operations in Hyderabad. State Education Department Principal Secretary Yogita Rana requested the establishment of an Aga Khan University in Future City.
Special Chief Secretary Vani Prasad highlighted the Aga Khan Foundation’s role in the tourism sector and sought greater cooperation from the foundation in the future.
Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, senior officials and representatives of the Aga Khan Foundation attended the meeting.
