తెలంగాణకు చారిత్రాత్మక మైలురాయి.. హైదరాబాద్లో దేశంలోనే అతిపెద్ద ఏఐ డేటా సెంటర్ క్యాంపస్
హైదరాబాద్లో టాటా గ్రూప్కు చెందిన టీసీఎస్ అనుబంధ సంస్థ హైపర్ వాల్ట్ దేశంలోనే అతిపెద్ద ఏఐ డేటా సెంటర్ క్యాంపస్ను ఏర్పాటు చేయనుంది. 250 ఎకరాలకు పైగా విస్తీర్ణంలో 1 గిగావాట్ సామర్థ్యంతో చేపట్టనున్న ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు దాదాపు రూ.70 వేల కోట్ల పెట్టుబడులు రానున్నాయి.
హైదరాబాద్లో దేశంలోనే అతిపెద్ద ఏఐ డేటా సెంటర్ క్యాంపస్ ఏర్పాటుకానుండటాన్ని తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి చారిత్రాత్మక పరిణామంగా అభివర్ణించారు. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా హైదరాబాద్ గ్లోబల్ ఏఐ, డేటా సెంటర్ హబ్గా మరింత బలోపేతం కావడంతో పాటు భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ అభివృద్ధికి పటిష్ఠమైన పునాది పడుతుందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సచివాలయంలో టీసీఎస్ ప్రతినిధుల బృందం ముఖ్యమంత్రితో సమావేశమైంది. ఈ సమావేశంలో ఐటీ, పరిశ్రమల శాఖ మంత్రి దుద్దిళ్ల శ్రీధర్ బాబు, మంత్రులు ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి, కోమటిరెడ్డి వెంకట్ రెడ్డి, అడ్లూరి లక్ష్మణ్ కుమార్ పాల్గొన్నారు. టీసీఎస్ సీఈఓ కె. కృతివాసన్, సీఓఓ ఆర్తి సుబ్రమణియన్, హైపర్ వాల్ట్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ వి. రాజన్న, హైపర్ వాల్ట్ సీఈఓ, ఎండీ దీపేష్ నందా, అమెరికా నుంచి వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ ద్వారా ఒపెన్ఏఐ చీఫ్ టెక్నాలజీ ఆఫీసర్ ఉదయ్ రుద్రరాజు సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఏఐ మోడల్స్, భారీ కంప్యూటింగ్ సామర్థ్యం భవిష్యత్తులో కీలక ప్రజా మౌలిక వసతులుగా మారనున్న నేపథ్యంలో, ఆ స్థాయి కంప్యూటింగ్ మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు తెలంగాణలో అందుబాటులోకి రావడం రాష్ట్రానికి, దేశానికి కీలక ప్రయోజనమని ముఖ్యమంత్రి అన్నారు. తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ 2047 లక్ష్యంలో భాగంగా రాష్ట్రాన్ని 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థగా తీర్చిదిద్దే ప్రయత్నాల్లో ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు కీలక ముందడుగు అవుతుందని తెలిపారు.
హైదరాబాద్లో 250 ఎకరాలకు పైగా విస్తీర్ణంలో 1 గిగావాట్ (1,000 మెగావాట్లు) సామర్థ్యంతో అత్యాధునిక ఏఐ డేటా సెంటర్ క్యాంపస్ను అభివృద్ధి చేయనున్నారు. హైపర్ వాల్ట్, భాగస్వామ్య సంస్థలు కలిసి ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్మాణం, నిర్వహణ కోసం దాదాపు రూ.70 వేల కోట్ల పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టనున్నాయి. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా ప్రత్యక్షంగా, పరోక్షంగా సుమారు 7 వేల ఉద్యోగ అవకాశాలు ఏర్పడనున్నాయి.
ప్రపంచంలోని ప్రముఖ ఏఐ కంపెనీలు, హైపర్స్కేలర్లు, గ్లోబల్ ఎంటర్ప్రైజెస్కు అవసరమైన భారీ కంప్యూటింగ్ మౌలిక సదుపాయాలను ఈ క్యాంపస్ అందించనుంది. అధిక సామర్థ్యమున్న కంప్యూటింగ్ వ్యవస్థలు, లిక్విడ్ కూలింగ్ వంటి ఆధునిక సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానాన్ని వినియోగించనున్నారు. గ్రీన్ ఎనర్జీ వినియోగం, వాటర్-న్యూట్రల్ డిజైన్తో పర్యావరణ అనుకూలంగా క్యాంపస్ను అభివృద్ధి చేయనున్నారు.
భారీ పెట్టుబడితో ఏఐ, డేటా సెంటర్ రంగాలతో పాటు విద్యుత్, కూలింగ్, నెట్వర్కింగ్, నిర్మాణం, ఇంజినీరింగ్, ఆపరేషన్స్ వంటి అనుబంధ రంగాల్లోనూ కొత్త అవకాశాలు ఏర్పడనున్నాయి. దీంతో దేశంలోని అత్యాధునిక, అతిపెద్ద ఏఐ ఇన్ఫ్రాస్ట్రక్చర్ క్యాంపస్లలో ఇది ఒకటిగా నిలిచే అవకాశం ఉంది.
తెలంగాణలో భారీ పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టేందుకు ముందుకొచ్చిన టీసీఎస్, హైపర్ వాల్ట్ ప్రతినిధులను ముఖ్యమంత్రి అభినందించారు. ప్రాజెక్టు అమలుకు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి అవసరమైన అన్ని సహాయ సహకారాలు అందిస్తామని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ అభివృద్ధికి ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు బలమైన పునాది వేస్తుందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించిన చర్చలకు 2026 జనవరిలో దావోస్లో ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి, టాటా సన్స్ చైర్మన్ ఎన్. చంద్రశేఖరన్ మధ్య జరిగిన సమావేశం నాంది పలికింది. అనంతరం రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం, టీసీఎస్ ప్రతినిధుల మధ్య పలుమార్లు చర్చలు జరగడంతో కొద్ది నెలల్లోనే ప్రాజెక్టు కార్యరూపం దాల్చింది. దేశంలోని మరో ఐదు రాష్ట్రాల నుంచి పోటీ ఉన్నప్పటికీ తెలంగాణ ఈ ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక ప్రాజెక్టును దక్కించుకుంది.

Historic Milestone for Telangana: India’s Largest AI Data Centre Campus Coming Up in Hyderabad
Hyderabad is set to host what has been described as India’s largest AI data centre campus, with Tata Group company TCS’s subsidiary Hyper Vault planning a 1-gigawatt facility spread across more than 250 acres. The project is expected to attract investments of nearly Rs.70,000 crore and create around 7,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy described the proposed AI data centre campus as a historic development that would further strengthen Hyderabad’s position on the global AI map. He said the project would reinforce Hyderabad’s emergence as a global AI and data centre hub while providing a strong foundation for the development of Bharat Future City.
A delegation from TCS met the Chief Minister at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat. The meeting was attended by IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Adluri Laxman Kumar. TCS CEO K. Krithivasan, COO Aarthi Subramanian, Hyper Vault President V. Rajanna, Hyper Vault CEO and MD Deepesh Nanda, and OpenAI Chief Technology Officer Uday Rudraraju, who joined through video conference from the United States, also participated.
The Chief Minister said AI models and large-scale computing capacity are expected to become critical public infrastructure in the future. Having such advanced computing capabilities within Telangana would provide a significant advantage to the state and the country, he said. He added that the project would be an important step towards the Telangana Rising 2047 vision and the goal of developing Telangana into a $3 trillion economy.
The proposed campus will be developed over more than 250 acres in Hyderabad with a total capacity of 1 gigawatt, or 1,000 megawatts. Hyper Vault and its partner organisations are expected to invest nearly Rs.70,000 crore in the construction and operation of the facility.
The campus will provide large-scale computing infrastructure required by leading global AI companies, hyperscalers and enterprises. It will incorporate advanced technologies including high-performance computing systems and liquid cooling. The facility is also planned with an environmentally sustainable approach, including the use of green energy and a water-neutral design.
The investment is expected to create opportunities not only in AI and data centres but also across allied sectors such as power, cooling, networking, construction, engineering and operations. The facility is expected to emerge as one of the country’s most advanced and largest AI infrastructure campuses.
The Chief Minister congratulated TCS and Hyper Vault representatives for choosing Telangana for the major investment and assured them of all necessary support from the state government for project implementation. He said the TCS decision would strengthen the foundation for the development of Bharat Future City.
Discussions for the project began with a meeting between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran at Davos in January 2026. Multiple rounds of discussions between the state government and TCS representatives followed, leading to the project being finalised within a few months. Telangana emerged successful despite competition from five other states.
