హైదరాబాద్: ఉమ్మడి మెదక్ జిల్లాలో సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టుల పనులు నిలిచిపోయాయంటూ మాజీ మంత్రి, బీఆర్ఎస్ నేత హరీశ్రావు తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వంపై విమర్శలు చేశారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డిని ఉద్దేశిస్తూ, నీళ్లు పారాల్సిన కాలువల్లో తుమ్మ చెట్లు మొలిచాయని హరీశ్రావు ఆరోపించారు. గత ప్రభుత్వ హయాంలో ముందుకు సాగిన ప్రాజెక్టులు ప్రస్తుత ప్రభుత్వ నిర్లక్ష్యంతో నిలిచిపోయాయని విమర్శించారు.
నర్సాపూర్ రెడ్డిపల్లి వద్ద నిలిచిపోయిన కాలువ పనులను ప్రస్తావిస్తూ, అక్కడ తాను దిగిన సెల్ఫీని ప్రభుత్వ పాలనకు సాక్ష్యంగా హరీశ్రావు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఉమ్మడి మెదక్ జిల్లా రైతుల పట్ల ప్రభుత్వం ఎందుకు నిర్లక్ష్యంగా వ్యవహరిస్తోందని ప్రశ్నించారు.
సంగమేశ్వర, బసవేశ్వర ప్రాజెక్టుల పనులను తక్షణమే ప్రారంభించాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు. ఘనపురం ఆనకట్ట ఎత్తు పెంపు పనులను వెంటనే పూర్తి చేయాలని కోరారు.
మల్లన్న సాగర్ నుంచి నర్సాపూర్, ఆందోల్ ప్రాంతాలకు నీటిని తీసుకువచ్చే కాళేశ్వరం కాలువ పనులను పూర్తి చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వాన్ని కోరారు. జిల్లాలో పెండింగ్లో ఉన్న సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టులకు సంబంధించిన భూసేకరణ కోసం వెంటనే నిధులు విడుదల చేయాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టులను నిర్లక్ష్యం చేసి రైతులకు అన్యాయం చేయవద్దని హరీశ్రావు ప్రభుత్వాన్ని హెచ్చరించారు. వెంటనే నిధులు విడుదల చేసి పనులు ప్రారంభించకపోతే రైతుల పక్షాన పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఆందోళన చేపడతామని తెలిపారు.

Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS leader Harish Rao criticised the Telangana government over the alleged delay in irrigation project works in the erstwhile Medak district.
Addressing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Harish Rao alleged that thorny trees had grown in canals that were supposed to carry irrigation water. He claimed that projects which had progressed during the previous government had been neglected and stalled under the present administration.
Referring to the stalled canal works near Reddypalli in Narsapur, Harish Rao said a selfie he took at the site was a “living testimony” to what he described as the government’s ineffective administration. He also questioned why the government was allegedly neglecting farmers of the erstwhile Medak district.
Harish Rao demanded the immediate commencement of works on the Sangameshwara and Basaveshwara projects. He also called for the early completion of works to raise the height of the Ghanapuram Anicut.
He further demanded completion of the Kaleshwaram canal works intended to bring water from Mallanna Sagar to Narsapur and Andole.
Harish Rao also sought the immediate release of funds for land acquisition for pending irrigation projects in the district.
He warned that if funds were not released and the works were not taken up immediately, the BRS would launch a large-scale agitation in support of farmers.
