సైబరాబాద్: ట్రాఫిక్ పోలీసుల ఆరోగ్య పరిరక్షణ, ముందస్తు ఆరోగ్య పరీక్షలను ప్రోత్సహించే లక్ష్యంతో సైబరాబాద్ పోలీసులు, ఎస్సీసీఎస్సీ సహకారంతో యశోద ఆసుపత్రుల ఆధ్వర్యంలో పల్మో అండ్ వాస్క్యులర్ స్క్రీనింగ్ క్యాంప్ నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ శిబిరంలో పల్మనరీ ఫంక్షన్ టెస్ట్, ఫెనో టెస్ట్, ఆరు నిమిషాల నడక పరీక్ష, వాస్క్యులర్ స్క్రీనింగ్ వంటి ప్రత్యేక వైద్య పరీక్షలు నిర్వహించారు. వీటి ద్వారా ఊపిరితిత్తుల పనితీరు, శ్వాసకోశ ఆరోగ్యం, శారీరక సామర్థ్యం, రక్త ప్రసరణ వంటి అంశాలను అంచనా వేసే అవకాశం కల్పించారు.
సైబరాబాద్ పోలీస్ కమిషనర్, ఎస్సీసీఎస్సీ చైర్పర్సన్ డాక్టర్ ఎం. రమేష్, ఐపీఎస్ ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరై శిబిరాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. అసిస్టెంట్ కమిషనర్ ఆఫ్ పోలీస్ చంద్రశేఖర్ రెడ్డి, ఆర్ఐ వెల్ఫేర్ నాగరాజు రెడ్డి, ఎస్సీసీఎస్సీ సీఈఓ నవేద్ ఆలమ్ ఖాన్, అసోసియేట్ డైరెక్టర్ వై. భాను మూర్తి పాల్గొన్నారు.
యశోద ఆసుపత్రుల తరఫున యూనిట్ హెడ్ మేఘా చిత్కారా, డీఎంఎస్ డాక్టర్ వెంకట్ రామన్ కొల్లా, మార్కెటింగ్ యూనిట్ హెడ్ ప్రదీప్, కార్పొరేట్ మార్కెటింగ్ హెడ్ సోమశేఖర్, పల్మనాలజిస్ట్ డాక్టర్ గోపీ యెడ్లపాటి, వాస్క్యులర్ సర్జన్ డాక్టర్ శ్రీకాంత్ రాజు పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా డాక్టర్ ఎం. రమేష్ మాట్లాడుతూ, ట్రాఫిక్ పోలీసు సిబ్బంది ఎక్కువ గంటలు బహిరంగ వాతావరణంలో విధులు నిర్వహిస్తూ దుమ్ము, వాయు కాలుష్యం, ట్రాఫిక్కు సంబంధించిన ప్రతికూల పరిస్థితులకు నిరంతరం గురవుతున్నారని తెలిపారు.
పోలీసులు తమ ఆరోగ్యాన్ని ప్రాధాన్యతగా తీసుకోవాలని ఆయన సూచించారు. క్రమం తప్పకుండా ఆరోగ్య పరీక్షలు చేయించుకోవడంతో పాటు శారీరక వ్యాయామం, యోగా, శ్వాస వ్యాయామాలను అలవర్చుకోవాలని కోరారు.
ఆరోగ్య సమస్యలను ప్రారంభ దశలోనే గుర్తిస్తే సరైన సమయంలో వైద్యుల సలహా, అవసరమైన చికిత్స పొందేందుకు అవకాశం ఉంటుందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
ట్రాఫిక్ పోలీసుల ఆరోగ్యంపై దృష్టి సారిస్తూ సైబరాబాద్ పోలీసులు, ఎస్సీసీఎస్సీ, యశోద ఆసుపత్రులు చేపట్టిన ఈ కార్యక్రమం సిబ్బందిలో ముందస్తు ఆరోగ్య సంరక్షణపై అవగాహన పెంచేందుకు దోహదపడుతుందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

Cyberabad: Cyberabad Police, in collaboration with SCSC and with the support of Yashoda Hospitals, organized a Pulmo & Vascular Screening Camp for Cyberabad Traffic Police to promote preventive healthcare and encourage early detection of health concerns among personnel.
The camp offered specialized screenings including Pulmonary Function Test, FeNO Test, Six-Minute Walk Test and Vascular Screening. The tests assessed lung function, respiratory health, exercise capacity and blood circulation, enabling personnel to understand their health status and seek medical advice when required.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. M. Ramesh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad and Chairperson, SCSC, as the Chief Guest. Assistant Commissioner of Police Chandrashekar Reddy, RI Welfare Nagaraju Reddy, SCSC CEO Naved Alam Khan and Associate Director Y. Bhanu Murthy were also present.
Representing Yashoda Hospitals were Megha Chitkara, Unit Head, Yashoda Hospital, Hitech City; Dr. Venkat Raman Kolla, DMS; Pradeep, Unit Head – Marketing; Soma Shekar, Corporate Marketing Head; Dr. Gopi Yedlapatti, Pulmonologist; and Dr. Srikanth Raju, Vascular Surgeon.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. M. Ramesh highlighted the importance of prioritizing the health and well-being of traffic police personnel. He noted that they work for long hours in challenging outdoor environments and are continuously exposed to dust, air pollution and traffic-related conditions.
He encouraged personnel to make full use of the screening camp and adopt preventive healthcare practices through regular check-ups, physical activity, yoga and breathing exercises.
Dr. Ramesh also stressed that early identification of health concerns can help personnel obtain appropriate medical advice and treatment at the right time.
The initiative reflects the continued efforts of Cyberabad Police, SCSC and Yashoda Hospitals to promote preventive healthcare and support the health and well-being of police personnel.
