India and Seychelles Strengthen Election Management Cooperation

అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రజాస్వామ్యం మరియు ఎన్నికల నిర్వహణ సదస్సు (IICDEM)–2026లో ప్రారంభమైన చర్చలను కొనసాగిస్తూ, ఎన్నికల నిర్వహణ, ఎన్నికల సిబ్బందికి శిక్షణ, సామర్థ్యాభివృద్ధి రంగాల్లో పరస్పర సహకారాన్ని మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని ఇరు పక్షాలు నిర్ణయించాయి.
ప్రజాస్వామ్య సంస్థలను బలోపేతం చేయడం, ఎన్నికల వ్యవస్థల్లో ఉత్తమ పద్ధతులను పరస్పరం పంచుకోవడం ద్వారా భవిష్యత్తులో మరింత సన్నిహితంగా కలిసి పనిచేయాలని సమావేశంలో అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.

Chief Election Commissioner and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, Gyanesh Kumar, met Harisoa Lalatiana Accouche, High Commissioner of Seychelles to India, at Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi.
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of India and Seychelles to deepen democratic cooperation. Building on the momentum created during IICDEM 2026, both sides agreed to work closely to advance the conference agenda and strengthen collaboration in election management, institutional capacity building and the training of election officials.
The discussions reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to promoting democratic values and sharing best practices in electoral administration.
