దేశవ్యాప్తంగా గృహ వినియోగ ఎల్పీజీ (LPG) గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్ ధరలను మరోసారి పెంచుతూ ఆయిల్ మార్కెటింగ్ కంపెనీలు నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నాయి. 14.2 కిలోల గృహ వినియోగ సిలిండర్పై రూ.29 మేర ధర పెంపు అమల్లోకి వచ్చింది.
తాజా ధరల పెంపు జూన్ 7 నుంచి అమల్లోకి వచ్చింది. దీంతో సామాన్య కుటుంబాలపై అదనపు భారం పడనుంది. గత మూడు నెలల వ్యవధిలో గృహ వినియోగ గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్ ధర పెరగడం ఇది రెండోసారి కావడం గమనార్హం.
మార్చి 7న కూడా గృహ వినియోగ సిలిండర్ ధరను రూ.60 పెంచారు. అంతర్జాతీయ ఇంధన మార్కెట్లలో కొనసాగుతున్న అనిశ్చిత పరిస్థితులు, పశ్చిమాసియా ప్రాంతంలో ఉద్రిక్తతలు, గ్యాస్ సరఫరా వ్యయాల పెరుగుదల కారణంగా ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నట్లు పరిశ్రమ వర్గాలు పేర్కొంటున్నాయి.
తాజా పెంపుతో ఢిల్లీలో 14.2 కిలోల గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్ ధర రూ.913 నుంచి రూ.942కు చేరింది. హైదరాబాద్, తెలంగాణలో కూడా స్థానిక పన్నులు, రవాణా వ్యయాల ఆధారంగా ధరలు పెరిగాయి.
ఇప్పటికే నిత్యావసర వస్తువుల ధరల పెరుగుదలతో ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న మధ్యతరగతి, దిగువ మధ్యతరగతి కుటుంబాలకు ఈ పెంపు మరింత భారంగా మారనుంది. వంటగ్యాస్పై ఆధారపడే కోట్లాది కుటుంబాల నెలవారీ ఖర్చులు పెరగనున్నాయి.

Domestic LPG cylinder prices have been increased by ₹29 across India, adding to household expenses for millions of consumers. The revised rates came into effect on June 7.
The latest revision applies to the standard 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder and marks the second increase in the last three months. Earlier, oil marketing companies had increased domestic LPG prices by ₹60 per cylinder in March.
Industry sources attribute the latest hike to continued pressure on global energy markets and rising supply costs linked to geopolitical tensions in West Asia. India imports a significant portion of its LPG requirements, making domestic prices sensitive to international market fluctuations.
Following the latest increase, the price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi has risen from ₹913 to ₹942. Similar revisions have been implemented across major cities, with retail prices varying based on local taxes and transportation costs.
The increase is expected to impact household budgets, particularly among middle-class and lower-income families that rely on LPG for daily cooking needs.
State-run fuel retailers, including Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, have implemented the revised rates nationwide.
